Anybody think there`d be much interest around the league.
I think ownership in Jacksonville would love the butts he could put in the seats there, and that power run, power D style would suit the Jags, but I`m not sure their GM is interested.
What about us? Think BB would like to have...
Curious as to whether there'd be interest on the part of the Redskins in Ryan Mallett. Our two first rounders plus Mallett puts us in the neighbourhood on the value chart. The target from the Pats perspective would probably be Coples or Brockers.
(I'm sure the Redskins would prefer to...
Most years, with free agency preceding the draft by almost two months, teams address their roster needs in FA and then draft best talent available (generally).
If there is no FA before the draft, how much does this dynamic change? I think this year, especially for teams with a lot of roster...
Is there anybody that could drop to Denver's pick that you'd consider dealing 22 and 44 (or 22 and next year's #1) for??
There seems to be a good chance that one OT could slide, what if it was Davis? Pierre-Paul? Spiller?
5'11 and 205 pounds. Karim toted the rock 240 times for 1694 yards and scored 18 TDs in 2009.
According to PFT.com, he ran the 40 in 4.37 seconds, had a vertical of 43 inches, a 20 yard shuttle time of 4.05 seconds, and a 6.67 second mark in the three-cone drill....those would have all placed...
Everybody needs a starting point. Lets throw some names out there and see what it looks like.
I think I'll work on the assumption that Wilfork and the RFA's return.
1. Jason Pierre-Paul, OLB, South Florida
Really nice crop of OLB's; can't wait for the combine; could go a lot of ways...
1. Miami - Jake Long, OT, Michigan
He's been my pick here all along.
2. St. Louis - Vernon Gholston, DE, Ohio State
Peter King says he knows one thing - the Rams aren't taking Gholston. He also quoted someone as saying everything a GM says in April is a lie. Too bad he couldn't...
Throw **** at a wall and see what sticks?
Here's what we have per Reiss today:
So how does the FA strategy mesh with the drafting strategy? Do we find more **** in the late second or third round to throw at the wall? Or do we find a way to select one of the best six in the first 40...
It's draft day one. Vernon Gholston went #7 overall to the Patriots. The offseason to date has seen no apparent replacement for Asante Samuel at CB to date. It's Pick 62 and the Pats are on the clock. The following corners are gone:
Leodis McKelvin
Dominique Rodgers-Crowmartie
Mike...
no trades:
1. Ryan Clady, LT, Boise State
2. Cliff Avril, OLB, Purdue
3. Charles Godfrey, CB, Iowa
3. Justin King, CB, Penn State
4. Jonathan Goff, ILB, Vanderbilt
5. David Roach, SS, TCU
Trade 7 to Chicago for 14 and 44:
1. Chris Williams, LT, Vanderbilt
2. Antoine Cason...
Speculation abound that Morgan might get cut by the Panthers. I think he'd be an interesting prospect at ILB for us, should Seau and Bruschi call it a day.
Haven't seen one of these yet this year, but it should be good for discussion. We know who's in the draft and who isn't and we've seen some practice footage and measurements.
There would seem to be some key offseason moves that could affect this draft. I am assuming that Moss returns along...
I think we would be sitting pretty if we traded the 7th overall pick to Miami for the 32nd, 57th and 64th overall picks.
This would give us picks 32, 57, 63, 64 and 69.
We could come away with:
32. Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy
57. Beau Bell, ILB, UNLV
63. Anthony Collins, OT, Kansas...
with an exhaustive offseason prediction (FA and draft for each team).....
http://www.orangemane.com/BB/showthread.php?t=64805
a lot of well thought out predictions, obviously wide of the mark on a few (Wheeler to the Pats).
He has NE resigning Moss, Gaffney, Gay and Seau. He has us...
Perhaps according to Blesto? I nabbed this from another forum, so I can't vouch for it's accuracy.
The top 10 seniors in alphabetic order are:
OT Sam Baker, USC
QB Brian Brohm, Louisville
DT Glenn Dorsey, LSU
DT Sedrick Ellis, USC
CB Mike Jenkins, South Florida
DE Chris Long...
To me, with Wilson out, it seems that Saunders has taken over Rodney's role as more of a blitzer/run stopper, while Rodney is taking Geno's coverage assignments.
Can someone with more expertize on our safety assignments explain if this is the case?
