#1 WR? Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo anyone?

If Aiyuk is truly available, then we should do everything in our power to acquire him. He is that #1 receiver type and he is young. Going through the draft for all our needs was always a dangerous proposition because you leave yourself with pretty much no margin for error.

Jayden Daniels - "intent" on playing for Patriots?

He must not have a girlfriend lol

If Wolf picks Daniels and he busts, then JJ becomes a star…

Well, unless Kraft is going to take a bullet for Wolf, when the fans start getting upset, Wolf is going to become the sacrificial lamb. And it's not like he has a lot of ammo in his chamber to defend himself.

Dugger 4 yr extension $58 mil

Don't like the deal. I don't think he would have gotten anywhere near this kind of money in the market, and we overpaid. With how conservative this FO has been when it comes to contracts, why overpay for a guy they can replace in house? If a couple extra million a year doesn't matter anyway, why...

If Wolf picks Daniels and he busts, then JJ becomes a star…

Here is the thing with Wolf. Ideally, he should be evaluated based on the totality of his work, instead of one draft. But, since he did pretty much nothing in FA or trades, we can only evaluate him based on his draft. And if this draft goes poorly, he basically has nothing to show for his tenure...

    Anything Else Before The Draft?

We didn't really lose anyone who's going to count for much in the compensatory formula calculation, did we? Don't know why that should keep us out of the FA process these days

OT: Another KC Receiver In Trouble With The Law

This dumb ass spent one year in the NFL, made not even 3M dollars combined, and already spent it on an expensive car and drag raced someone in broad day light and risk potentially going to prison to end his NFL career. The IQ of these guys just can't be described in words. At least wait until...

Is sports gambling a gateway drug?

Gambling is dangerous no matter what form it comes in. The fact that these sports leagues and networks are promoting it is disgusting and they should be ashamed. Nobody is asking them to be the arbiter of moral value but they are leading some folks down a dark path just for a few dollars.

Why we don't value the X reciever position?

During the Belichick years, it was a stylistic thing. Brady was a master at the short and intermediate game, and that was how we attacked mostly, so the value of a big time X wasn't quite as high. Nowadays, we don't have a QB so there is really no point getting a stout X when your QB can't throw...

    Players have too much control

Players and their daddies can keep pushing the boundaries, all that will happen is ownership get pissed off and come down hard and let them know who the boss is in the end. The more public guys like Deion make these threats, the more likely they piss off ownership

OT: Francis Scott Key Bridge Hit by Cargo Ship. Entire bridge collapses.

That is an insane story. Falling from a broken bridge into water is the stuff of nightmares for folks who had to experience it. Looked like a scene from horror movies

What Mayo learned from Mac Jones Patriots tenure

Coaching is definitely important, but so is personnel. No coach can help a QB figure out how to play behind Vederian Lowe and not get killed. That's why them punting on FA is so irritating. They are risking getting another young QB killed with that Oline alone

    Hip Drop Tackle Banned

They pretty much had to do something after the avalanche of high ankle sprains players got last year from this. But, there has to be a limit to how far the rules should go to protect players. Like Brady said, players should learn to protect themselves and avoid injuries instead of NFL try to...

The Patriots FO needs to avoid appeasing the fans.

Acquiring good players via FA is not about appeasing the fans, it is about building the team's talent base. This team needs talent, and it would be wise for them to acquire said talent via whatever method available to them, be it draft, trades or FA. Sitting out FA does not get you closer to the...

Player Signing Patriots Signing S Jaylinn Hawkins

IF, we hit our picks. That part is easier said than done, and even the best drafting teams out there can't hit all the time. Ideally, we focus on the draft but use FA to supplement the team as well. But I guess they wanna place all their bets on one horse, hopefully it works out

Player Signing Patriots Signing S Jaylinn Hawkins

I hate to say it because it can be taken the wrong way, but this offseason feels very much Belichickian. Spending time signing ST players while leaving giant gaping holes at LT/WR. Josh Jones just signed a one year deal with Ravens, and we apparently can't even get on some of that. FO better...

Adam Caplan: Pats exploring the trade market to get an impact WR

I am sure they are calling, but what are they willing to give up to acquire said receiver? Jeudy and Diontae Johnson both got traded for not a lot, and they didn't pull the trigger, so I have a hard time seeing them forking over a high end pick for anyone high caliber

If we trade down from 3?

If the goal is to make this year look better, then certainly a trade down to acquire more pieces is the play. But if you want to build a long term contender, you need that top shelf QB. Other than SF, every contender in the league has an MVP level QB. You can't compete against that with a Brock...

If we trade down from 3?

If they want to trade down, I wouldn't want to trade all the way down to 11. In that trade, not only are we giving up on all the top shelf QBs, we are also giving up on the best receiver and tackles. The draft is going to turn into a volume play instead of quality play. Yes, we have a lot of...

    "Weaponize the offense"

They haven't weaponized a damn thing. For all the talk about philosophical changes, this is an embarrassingly bad start of the new regime. The offense is in worse shape than last year and we are now hoping/praying the draft picks will hit the ground running and be star level contributors week 1.
