Hello,
I was going through my boyfriend's belongings and came across his account on this forum.
Unfortunately he passed away as a result of heartbreak due to the Patriots loss to Buffalo in the postseason. He said their collapse near the end of the season was too much.
I thought I would pass...
The Edelman to Amendola TD tied the Ravens game at 28. Second 14 point deficit overcome. 3rd and 15 to Edelman down 10 against Seattle. But of course those plays would be considered "Moot" (Maybe), if not for Brady (And Butler) in SB 49.
Was there one defining play or moment that started up the...
It's been nearly two decades since the Pats had a losing season. Realistically, do they have enough goodwill to sellout the stadium regardless of performance for the next few years? Or, will the Waiting List and attendance shrink dramatically?
Boston isn't Atlanta or Miami. I'd like to think we...
Just as the question poses. And how long did it tske you to get over the loss? If at all. Lastly, how does this loss compare to other postseason losses? Personally, it took me about three days.
Has anyone ever experienced this with the Pats? In otherwords, you get two weeks of build up. The anticipation is through the roof. Maybe you can't sleep the night before the big game. Then the game happens. And win or lose, football season is over within three hours. Have the draft to look...
Before the game of course. Curious what your confidence level was. And why or why not you thought they would win. The first SB I have memories of is the Carolina one. Obviously some fans have memories going back to Chicago. So how did you feel going into these SB's?
85 vs Bears: I Wasn't alive...
Would Gordon get a ring regardless of the outcome? I know this happened with Bengie Molina in 2010. Went from SF to Texas. Giants beat the Rangers in the WS. Molina still got a ring.
I do think the Patriots will ultimately win this division. But Buffalo is only one game back in the loss column. Pats hold the tiebreaker for now.
Is anyone legitimately concerned that the Bills could possibly win this division?
Is someone able to give me an x's and o's breakdown as to why this year's defense is better than 2017? I ask because I've seen it mentioned many times that the 2017 defense was short on talent. But the stats say otherwise.
Again, I'm not debating that the 2019 defense is better. They most...
Gilmore is in year three of a five year deal. He's clearly one of , if not the best, CB's in the game. Usually BB gets rid of a player a year too early rather than a year too late. But players of Gilmore's caliber rarely come along.
Should the Pats extend him before his contract is up? If not...
This could be current or all time. And these could be guys you didn't feel too terrible about losing too.
My list:
1. Philip Rivers. When he first came into the league he rubbed me the wrong way. But I changed my tune on him after he played on a torn ACL in that AFC championship game in the...
KC & Pats were SB contenders coming into the season. They've proven their worth thus far. But some other teams have more to prove. Who are they? Why?
This can also be which 2-0 team you don't believe in. Smoke and mirrors or something like that.
Luck has retired. Colts are out as a contender. Chargers have key injuries (And their chokers.) I do think the Steelers are improved. But Tomlin holds them back.
Injuries can change things. But is this rematch nowca safe bet? Or is there another team lurking who could be dangerous? (Jags maybe...
Frankly, I thought he was going to be Moss 2.0 here. Maybe my expectations were too high. Was this a case of a guy who couldn't grasp the playbook? Was he injured? I do remember him catching a catch in Super Bowl 46. Otherwise, I don't remember any contributions he made.
Sorry for bringing up...
On the road in a hostile environment. Against the team that beat you in the Super Bowl 21 months earlier. A win could somewhat be closure (Unless the Pats get revenge and beat them in Miami). A loss means media pundits will say the Eagles are in the Pats heads.
Will you consider this a...
Just as the title poses. What teams are due for a "Step back" this season?
1. Saints. From Thanksgiving on, Brees was not a good QB whatsoever. His arm strength looks to be gone. I also think they will miss Ingram. Their schedule is brutal again too. I think the end is near for this group.
2...
First off, I by no means am suggesting the Pats chances of winning a SB without Brady wouldn't go down big time. Obviously Brady gives the team the best chance to win it all. Nor am I suggesting Brady is a system QB. He's the GOAT.
But let's say Hoyer was the starting QB for the entire 2019...
Week 2 quotes:
Nantz: "Doug Marrone is building something special here in Florida".
Romo: "I don't think they are building. It's built. And I think you are going to see this rematch again. Right here in the AFC title game".
Oh Tony......
Kellerman 21:15: "Patriots will make the playoffs...
Besides shoe ins such as Brady, Edelman, Vinatieri, Robert Kraft, McCourty, Gronk, & BB, who will enter the Pats Hall of fame?
My possible future candidates: Chung, Flowers (If he stays), Gilmore (Pending he re-signs in 2022), Mason (If he stays), Gost, Scarnecchia, McDaniels, Ernie Adams, &...
