No, I am Chuck, but David is my nephew. As far as I know, he doesn't know that I link stuff here, I'm just trying to help him out. If that's a no-no on this site, I'll stop posting the links
I would rank Tom Brady number one by a mile. Where would you rank him?
I may not have worded my initial post well. I'm saying keep Thuney because having him leads to less hits on Brady, which naturally increases our odds of keeping him healthy. If Brady goes down, the season is over.
I'm not sure if even a high second would get it done for me.
Thuney is considerably better than every other backup interior lineman, and if/when one goes down he'll be in the lineup. With Brady at 41, I want the best possible unit protecting him. If he goes down, the season's over
I've been hearing some rumors that with Wynn at LG and Brown at LT, we might look into trading Thuney or straight-up releasing him. Maybe it's just me, but I really don't like that idea. No line stays 100% healthy all year, and he seems like too valuable an insurance piece. Maybe that's just me...
Blount offered literally nothing in the passing game, yet he managed to be successful in short yardage situations. Same with Ridley and BJGE before him. Typically we carry one guy as the first and second down back, a pass catching guy, and a hybrid guy. Gillislee was supposed to be that guy last...
So I was reading that Burkhead was going to get the first shot at the goal line job, and I wondering what everyone thought about that. He's never really been that guy before, and we have two guys on the roster who have had success in that position before (Gillislee, Hill). Thoughts?
I could see them rolling in with two. They've done it in the past, and we really didn't use Hollister at all his rookie year, so we essentially only had two.
If Hollister can block, I think he kicks Allen off the team
I think the biggest reason he didn't see the field more was that he was undersized and just couldn't block. He's reportedly added weight, which should improve his work as a blocker. I think he's got great potential as a receiver
Gronk's obviously #1, and a lot of people assume Dwayne Allen will retain the #2 spot. While he's a great blocker, I could see the Pats turning more towards Jacob Hollister if he improves in the blocking game. Mike Reiss and a bunch of other reporters say he'd added muscle weight, so he has the...
McCarron has some fantastic measurables and spent all 2017 on the practice squad, so he should have a solid grasp on the playbook. Obviously, it takes more than athleticism to be a wide receiver, but the potential’s there
With Jules officially out the first four weeks and Amendola in Miami, it looks like it's Jordan Matthews time. The suspension does open up a spot for Berrios and/or McCarron though
