I saw a mock this morning that has picks 1-4 as CHI-Williams, WAS-Maye, NE-Daniels, ARI-McCarthy. Arizona then traded Kyler Murray to Minnesota. Will it happen? Probably not. But unexpected things do happen, and if the QB they want is there at 3 I want them to take him at 3. I don't want to...
I think the best choice is to trade down a little bit, say 5-8 range depending on the exact situation. At that point I'd take Odunze, Nabers, Alt, or Fashanu in that order depending on who is available. Using whatever else we got from the trade besides the 1st rounder and our picks I would...
So you like Belichick and you have no doubt he could turn it around if he had personnel help. But BB was the one and only person who could get that help. He ran the show. He had final say on everything. He could've done what you wanted him to do, and he chose not to. In his mind, the way...
There is something to be said for diligence. No denying that. But what good is all that diligence when the top candidates that you diligence has identified have already accepted other jobs because we were busy delving into how many detentions they got in high school?
Maybe I define loyalty differently than you do , but to me loyalty does not mean leaving every
time you get the chance and only returning once you've screwed up so badly nobody else will hire you.
I wanted Belichick gone. I don't comment on here a lot, so I'm not known to people here, but I will be the first to say I'm glad he's gone. It was a great run but all things come to an end. That being said hiring a new coach from inside the organization, and apparently not hiring a GM seems...
I voted let's see what happens. We really don't know. Is BOB staying as OC? No matter who the OC is, will they be allowed to pick their staff or will they get by with whatever scraps they are thrown? Whoever the OC is, will they actually run the offense? Or will they just be Mayo's *****...
Once upon a time I didn't believe it, but the past several seasons have told me that Belichick was always great at defense and bad at offense. Now he just doesn't have Brady to cover for him. Yes, the defense is fine. It should be when it gets the lion's share of draft picks every year...
I'd rather have two good players than one. Sanders knows what its like playing behind a ****ty line. He still threw for way more yards than Mac ever dreamed of, more TDs, and only 3 INTs. If we can improve the line too, even better.
I would trade down far enough to take Rome Odunze, which will probably be 7-10 depending how things shake out. so probably take him at 7ish if we can since we won't know how things will go when we trade the 2. Then, using whatever we have from our remaining picks plus what we got for trading...
No, see, I don't think you are really seeing OP's point. If you TOTALLY DISREGARD the very first pick in the draft then you can make silly and confusing arguments about how picking first and picking last is really the same. Now, I am not OP, but maybe I can explain it better for you. Let's do...
New England is in an odd position where there are zero QBs good enough to get us to mediocre status, and yet there are several who are erratic enough to prevent us from getting the draft pick we want by squeaking out an unexpected win or two.
I'm glad they aren't going to sneak into the playoffs. That would probably be enough to stay the course when what is needed is a near total teardown and rebuild of personnel, both players AND coaches/front office.
