With our secondary being our strength of our team, it shows how subpar of a team we are. That's fine, it's a transition year. Let's keep expectations tamed.
I don't know if it's broken, it has worked getting them 6 SBs but this year was brutal to watch due to injuries, churn, rookies and overall dysfunction. SF system definitely does produce immediate results though.
Pats system is infinitely harder. The 49ers mostly run crossers, hitches, posts and are run heavy. Pats has a lot of timing and option routes based on defense.
Okay that makes sense. They deferred their decision to the 2nd half. So if KC kicked to open, that would mean SF gets the ball first half and they would obviously decide to receive the ball in the second half also.
I always implied if the team who defers, defers to receive it the second half...
The SF team captain said kick or defer? But if they say Kick, how can SF still get the ball both halves? Is it because SF team captain omitted "we" as in "We will kick"?
Our defense was built on the opposition playing catch up and throwing more often. Of course, that can only happen if our offense scores points. Has been counter intuitive this year though
