Actually not just Stump Mitchell. Didn't realize that Elliot Wolf was assistant GM before coming over to the Pats.
So lets speculate on what our staff might/could be.
Yikes, a lot of Cleavland Browns connections.
Elliot Wolfe our new GM. (before joining Pats, he was assistant GM of...
About 2/3 years ago a poster said we needed a true number 1 wide receiver to be able to compete for a championship. I responded that we didn't. "Patriots won won 6 titiles without a true #1 receiver". Silly me. What i failed to understand at that time is we had the best QB to ever play...
When Tom Brady left the Pats I was genuinely excited for him, there was no way he was going to win on that Pats roster and I wanted him to show he could win away from the Pats. Felt the same way about Bill (without Brady) , knowing full well that it was going to be a lot tougher for Belichick...
Randall Cunningham. But seriously, when i looked at Jayden Daniels highlights the first time, this is who came to mind. Threat to run or pass, long lanky frame, same height, almost same weight (210 vs 212). Obviously different release.
We are what we are. Almost all losing teams say they are better than their records, that for a play here and a play there we could have be 500 now etc etc. This is just how losing teams look. You can put lipstick on a pig but its still a pig. Maybe they play better these few games, but...
From the outside looking in, we are just speculating the reasons for his in season move. We have no idea. In general I am not really a big fan of anyone owing anybody anything when it comes to a job. You do what is best for you and your family and they do what they believe is best for the...
Any discussion on whether to trade back ~ must ~ include on what you are getting to trade back and what position you are trading back to. I would love the Patriots to get the first pick in the draft not because I am sold on any Williams or Maye, but simply because of the options holding that...
This season is done for the Pats. At this point its all about evaluation. We have seen what Mac can/cannot do, time to move on and start planning for next years quarterback room. Next years QB draft looks promising. I know thats what they said in 2021, right !!
2021 Lawrence...
Yep, I do think he is doing everything he can but kind of coming up short time and time again. These players get paid a lot of money and that comes along with a lot of expectations, not for the faint of heart, thats for sure.
Honesty is cool for a bit but after a while it becomes tiresome, and annoying.
To take a page out of my wife's book when i make excuses for something I promised time and time again.
"I dont want to hear it, just get the sh*t done !!"
Thats how I feel when Mac stands up there every week...
Mac is the type of quarteback that is the ultimage tease. There is always going to be something that says its not his fault. Lousy coaching, no receivers, bad offensive lines, bad cornerback play, whatever. In the end we will go year after saying its not his fault while having bad qb...
Hindsight is 20/20, always is and always wiill be.... You can go down any draft at any position, there will always be misses, espcially at QB position. Hey we got Tom Brady at the 199th pick. "Absolutely clear" that in hindsight teams made the wrong pick 198 times. Ask SF who gave up 3...
Tried to guess who was sending "brutal message" to Bill before opening it up. My guess was Ted Johnson, But Asante Samuel another of those legend wanna be's would also have been high on my list.
