What makes some of you think Guy is such a lock or even making the 53? I haven't seen him show up in the preseason games. Just because he was signed as a free agent doesn't mean he's guaranteed a spot. Butler on the other hand has shown up and may even push Branch, Brown and Valentine for some...
After seeing who they drafted and what UDFA they picked up anyone else surprised at how few LBs they brought in? I find LB one of the weaker parts of the team and a spot where a player can make the team and maybe an impact. Yes I know we don't play with a lot of LBs on the field but the Patriots...
Jacksonville and Tampa Bay in the playoffs now that is bold predictions
12-4. Loses to Az, Pitt, NYJ and Mia. In the playoffs I think they lose to Pitt in AFCCG unfortunately.
Dont know why so many think Roberts is a surprise he's depth where as KGH is/was just another specialist (at this point in time). The evidence was there Roberts playing with the 1s and KGH not playing till the 4th quarter. I agree I was intrigued with KGH but there is only so many spots on the...
The only locks I believe are Edelman and Hogan. Those who quote there hss never been a fourth round pick to not make the 53 there is always a first time for everything. Training camp and preseason should be interesting and fun to watch
Frustrating. C
A short CB. Jones
A short WR. Mitchell
An unnecessary and bad looking QB. Bissett.
Valentine and Thuney look like solid depth pieces
Stopped watching and paying attention when they passed on Dixon five times
The "at least 2" is the comment that bugs me. There is limited roster space. Lewis and Bolden are pretty much locks (Belichick loves his STs and Bolden is a ST stud and a serviceable backup) most around here like White (I don't) and one of Develin/Iosefa/Harbor is sticking around. We missed...
I think the amount of "needs" you list is ridiculous but lets jus talk about the RB. The Patriots keep lets say 4-5 RBs on the 53-man roster
1. Lewis
2. Blount/TBD
3. Bolden
4. White
5. Develin/Iosefa/Harbor
Where is the room for your 2 RBs? There is room for 1. In order for 2 are you cutting...
I think with the fact that Edelman and Gronk are injury prone. Washington, Hogan and Bennett are unknowns. I think the Patriots will go with the safety in numbers approach. 6 WRs (icluding Slater) will stick on the team. They will probably carry less LBs with a few people like Chung or Nink who...
RB or Special Teams.
All other positions are stocked with players. CB, S, DT, DE, TE, WR, OL. Guess there is an outside chance the 3rd LB is open, but how often is our 3rd LB even on field? Don't know exact percent I'm guessing maybe 20-30%
Glad Washington was signed.
Have a decent looking WR group
#1 Edelman #2 Hogan #3 Amendola/Washington #4 Amendola/Washington #5 Martin #6 Slater
You people that still think Dobson is an option make me laugh. Hes a bust move on. Hes only on the team cause he's cheap and so there is someone to...
This one , BUT..
The Patriots will keep 6 IMO. Counting Slater because he is technically a WR. Hogan is the #2, Amendola the #3. Slater #6
Then one of 2 options with the 4 & 5...
Option 1: sign Nate Washington or Anquan Boldin as the #4, Martin as WR5.
Option 2: make Martin 4 and draft a WR...
LOL. Ok you got me there. Alright let me put it this way Foster will probably be expensive 3-4 million per year and Lewis, Gaffney, Blount and draft picks/udfas will probably equal Foster's salary and be able to get comparable numbers
I'll pass on Arian Foster. 2 of the last 3 seasons he's gone down with injury. Durability issues. I'll stick with Lewis, Gaffney, hopefully Blount and a couple draft picks and UDFAs and see what goes BOOM.
Don't sleep on Tyler Gaffney. We've had him stashed away for a couple years. He isn't a midget at 6'. He comes from Stanford, so he's a smart guy. He runs quite well just watch his highlights on YouTube. He is also the typical Patriot: injury history, out of obscurity with something to prove. I...
