He's perfectly healthy, but they would never trade him to the Pats, especially after the McDaniels thing.
With trading away their 1st and only signing Rivers for one year, the Colts may still be hoping he comes back. He's only 30 and could still play another 9-10 years.
The Colts need a QB and just got rid of their 1st rounder. They probably are pursuing Brady and believe they are landing either him or Rivers. They kept the Buckner trade quiet until it was announced, so it might be the same with Brady.
Either that or they know Luck is coming back and have...
Ignoring the rivalry history, the Colts probably make the most sense. If they are willing to pay Rivers for a two years, maybe they'll just throw a few more bucks at Brady.
Perfect scenario, really.
Brady's buddies, Hoyer and Brissett, make up the QB room. He'll feel right at home.
Colts - elite O-line, high end running game, a ton of cap space and draft picks. The Colts can sell out to win a title or two with Brady while drafting his replacement.
Reich -...
I've yet to see anyone mention the perfect fit for Brady in 2020...
Indy... really. If Brady wants to win a few more rings, he should go to the Colts.
Colts - Super Bowl ready team, great O-line, excellent offensive mind in Reich, 110 million in cap space. They could sell out to win a few...
Unlike the fans, I doubt Belichick is hysterical over this. On to Pittsburgh? Belichick will just play football with Cassel, Garrapolo, or whoever.
Plus, I think there is the distinct possibility that Kraft and Belichick feel as though they were lied to by Brady. If you believe Brady, you...
Am I on a Packers forum? Did the Packers just recently go through a year long cheating scandal in which they lost a draft pick - the most highly publicized cheating scandal in NFL history?
Given the history, why even do it? They're only bringing it on themselves.
I'm not a Pats fan, but many non-Pats fans and Pats fans alike seem to feel the same. Why even do these things? If videoing the signals and under-inflating the balls offers no great advantage, why do it? They're just bringing it on themselves.
And they still looked like the better team through about 6 games or so. Sorry if that upsets you, but to my eyes, they did. Doesn't mean the Pats can't or won't win this game, but until the past few games the Pats did not look very impressive. As I recall, plenty of Pats fans thought the same...
Regardless of what happens, Luck just goes out and plays. He doesn't seem to exhibit an insecure, paranoid mind like Belichick, Manning or, I have a chip on my shoulder, Brady. Maybe that's a good thing - perhaps that's what drives them, but Luck doesn't seem the type to obsess over such things.
It's such a week-to-week thing in the NFL. For much of this season, the Pats didn't look very good. For most of this season, the Colts looked like the better team. Then, the Pats play a few good games, the Colts have one bad game and everyone's perception changes. I suppose we'll see what...
I'm surprised some think the Pats are going to blow out the Colts. One, the game is not in Foxboro. It's in Indy, and that's been a bit of a house of horrors for the Pats - 2006 AFC Championship, 4th and 2 game, Super Bowl XLVI. Two, the Colts have the top offense in the league, and no one...
Personally, I don't think either is true, but if you say that about Manning, you would certainly have to say the same about Brady and the Patriots, post 2004. It's been a nine year string of regular season greatness, postseason ineptitude. It's going on a decade since the last title.
