Baltimore does have the number 1 scoring and yardage defense, the Chiefs D has been better at home but is still suspect, sure the Ravens will need some bounces for sure but by no means is this a gimme.
I agree its quite an over react for the Texans to be favored in this game, didn't we go through this in week 1? Especially in Foxboro, if TB was playing what would the line be (-9) or so?
There are two primary basic statistical measure of D, total yards and scoring. By yards last year they were 3rd.

If FO is your gospel even by that measure they were eighth, and if you were a big FO guy last year you would have read...
Ok, dude because I didn't follow the events or know everything about it I have my head up my posterior? I didn't care then and don't care now. Label me as ignorant, put me in a box if it makes you feel better. I'm not sure how my comments are rubbing you the wrong way or how anything i've...
Im not sure how you thought I was insinuating anything about an entire fan base, I replied to the OP and a few others, and it seemed that many other posters agreed with me. I was just here to talk football exchange ideas, you can learn the most from the fans of other teams because they watch...
Its a passing league and JJ disrupts the passer while facing double teams. But if you really think Collins is just as disruptive as Watt there really is no point in debate, do you think any one of the 32 GM's in the league would pick him over JJ?
3rd in Total Yards allowed, and the D wasn't good the first six games until they made Andre Hal the starter at safety, but I guess you will have to wait to see how good they are this year. As for JJ its clear, that a guy who won 3 DMVP's in 4 years in your mind is over hyped. I get you are...
The defense is not designed for him to get sacks, that is ridiculous. He has been the single most disruptive defensive force the last four years, 3 DMVP's, if you think its hype he has been the best defensive player on PFF over the past 4 years as well, but to each his own.
That's an exaggeration but those guys can hang 40 on anybody, but I would say the pass rush would neutralize that to some extent, it would be closer to what they did last meeting, high 20's if the Texans can'thold the ball on offense.
I disagree, the secondary is very solid, but ILB core, they can be exposed by RB's and slot guys, also against runs in the middle, Wilfork is pretty much slightly better than trash this point in his career.
Come on now JJ is as good as advertised. Probably the best defender of his generation or at least on the very short list, 3 time DMVP. People forget his is a 3-4 DE, not a 4-3 DE or OLB. The fact he has had 20.5,20.5, and 17.5 sacks in a season from that position is unheard of before. There...
Coming from a lurking Houston fan, Savage was pretty bad/lost sans one game winning drive against Denver. He was definitely not ready to be a backup, Case was almost as bad so even though you guys say Mallet sucks, the passing plays I saw from him against Philly, was leaps and bounds better...
Vegas line is purely based on the number the would hypothetically bring action equally on both sides, the Patriots by the nature of their past successes will garner more support than a team with little historic success and popularity. Basically the line is a popularity contest in many ways...
Interesting article from PFF on Brown. Calling him the best this season and one of the best overall offensive players.

I don't know how you can say offensive line in a landslide when the Texans probably have the best offensive line player in Duane Brown and another pro bowler in Chris Myers.
