Two ways to approach it I think.
1. Completely punt on QB and take a Michael Pratt or Jordan Travis later in the draft (4, maybe 5.) It's a caretaker position, akin to what Houston did with Mills. Use the premium picks (rounds 1-3) to load up on positions of need. I wager the chances are zero...
No one knows. The betting markets (which are a poor predictor) have them as even. Maye has long been QB2. Maye might need more work than JD, but has a higher upside. OTOH, JD might have a more "whizbang" appeal, and I suppose WAS ownership could pressure their FO to take him, but that seems...
The good thing about that site is that they seem to have a larger player selection. The negative thing is the logic needs work. :p I find these mocks fascinating and the different approaches everyone takes. I've discovered I hate trading up lol (because I've no idea if the picks are worth it for...
Isaac Gurendo, RB + Former receiver, 4.33 speed. Con: He's 24. 5th or later.
Dylan Laube, RB. Dane's "The Beast" has him rated as a UFDA. I think he gets drafted.
Tip Reiman, TE. 5th or later.
Reiman is a big-bodied player with good play strength who can be a valuable run blocker, and if he can...
Polk, Franklin (2nd round), Baker and Rice (3rd, 4th) can be X receivers. I've read elsewhere the team is pretty high on McConkey (could go in rnd 1.) With teams at the bottom of round 1 all needing OTs, chances are Kingsley won't be there at 34 which means NE gets their pick.
I think you gave up too much for the trade with LAC. The 3rd pick is worth 2200, but 5 and 37 is 2230. I would only do that with 5, 37 straight up (maybe kick in a late round pick.) I do however like the trade down from 37.
Two tackles and two WR is a thumbs up. Hicks is a major steal at 137...
If WAS: Daniels then Maye else JJ. WAS takes Maye, so I make a calculated gamble to trade with TEN for an extra second (in reality TEN would need to give up more here, likely a 2025 2nd round pick.) One thing to keep in mind: Teams trading out of the top 10 are giving up blue chip players. The...
I'd be OK with JJ or Maye. To that end B (although I would try for a different RB and wouldn't draft Milton).
Edit: One problem with B though is MIN jumping to 5.
Yeah. I don't know if that's due to the logic of this particular sim or if the 5th year rookie contract is considered that valuable. I think NE can really only afford a trade up to 28-32, if that. I think they might do better to trade back a bit at 34 and pick up an extra pick. (They'll need to...
The Bo Nix scenario. Assume the trade with MIN is 11, 23, 2025 1, 2026 (let's say 2.) Chances for this happening are near zero but wanted to see how it might play out.
11. Bo Nix. The crowd goes wild (not.) In my amateur opinion, Nix= Dalton/Alex Smith, which really isn't a bad outcome. If the...
Huge grain of salt and all that, but from a thread on reddit from someone claiming to be a scout.
1: Some teams take Penix off their boards because he's left handed (ball is harder to catch.)
2: Maye is still considered QB2 despite the negative coverage
3: In response to a question on who is...
MIN with their offense would be a great landing spot for him. Any QB that NE drafts is going to struggle with a below average OL and a WR group that struggles to get seperation; that's probably not going to magically change because there's a different QB under center. Of course, this doesn't...
I'm coming around to WR first too if there's a run on OL, which seems likely. Agree on Guerendo. Kinda hoping NE gets him. This draft seems thin at that position.
