No way. Here's my take on it...
The NFL and the Krafts wanted this to GO AWAY. There's no way the NFL could not penalize the Patriots; so they did. Harshly. A total of $750.000 and a draft pick isn't peanuts.
The evidence was destroyed by the NFL so NO ONE would ever see it again...
Hmm.... Tough to say. Anyone can look up the stats from last year, so I'm going to comment about TODAY. Drew Brees is NOT under contract, and the Patriots have a new coordinator, a new starting running back, a new left tackle, and several new recievers.
I have every confidence that...
There's no way the Patriots lose all 4 of those games. It's possible they will lose 4, but not those 4. They WILL win at least one of those games against San Fran., Baltimore, or Houston; and likely lose against someone they SHOULD crush. Happens every year. Miami and Buffalo could be...
Patriots
Buffalo
New York
Miami
I think Miami is a year away from moving into third place, but that could change depending on how the Jets handle their QB situation. A Jets locker room implosion will land them in the basement so fast their heads will spin.
Buffalo improved themselves...
Haven't posted in a while... but I LOVED this year's crop. I've been waiting since 2008 for the Pats to significantly beef up their D. I predict a wildly successful season! :D
No they wouldn't. I was dead set against changing the uniform and logo in 1993, and I think the last thing they need is MORE changes. Change it back to 1992, or leave it as is.
I don't think I've ever heard of ANYONE compared to Mike Vrabel! If there were anyone out there who cold play like Mike Vrabel, I'd hope the Pats would take a good long look at him and GET HIM!
Thank God the Patriots didn't change a VERY good uniform! Besides the Bengals, I think for the most part most uniforms are just fine as-is. VERY relieved the changes were mostly the material!
If you're saying re-signing Welker is the number 1 need, I can agree with that. Otherwise, I have to say that defensive back, defensive line and pass-rusher are numbers 1, 2, and 3. How many years are the Patriots going to go and NOT address the issues on defense? I love offense as much as...
Yes and no. "Yes" in that we go after Robert Meachem or Marques Colston. Especially Colston. Despite his previous knee problems, he's the top reciever on the top passing team. He'll cost us, but him AND Welker, and the TEs should be too much offense for anyone to handle.
I think...
For LE$$ money and a full offseason to learn the playbook, he might prove useful. As a fan, I'm willing to look at all kinds of options. If the Pats can save some money on him (provided he can be productive, of course), they might be able to spend more on the defense or another free agent...
Morris Claiborne, CB from LSU. Best corner in the draft, and as far as I know no off-field issues. Runs a 4.45 40 yd. dash, 6-0 185. I know he'll go VERY high and the Pats have virtually no shot at getting him, but a man can wish, can't he?
With all that production from Welker since 2007, I just don't see how the Patriots don't have Welker back next season. Who would replace him? The Pats need ANOTHER reciever, not LOSE one. If I may be brutally honest, I think this is a non-story. He said he wants to come back. I'll be...
I never cared for Mr. DeOssie very much (or Fred Smerlas, for that matter); and besides Dale Arnold, I really don't care for WEEI either. Steve can spew all he wants, and it doesn't matter to me as I never listen to him anyway. As for these other guys on the airwaves who are fans of other...
SB 46 doesn't even come close to the 2007 loss. There was no 19-0 record on the line. Plain and simple. I think with a YOUNG defense (not one like '07 that was very old) they have a good shot at getting back and winning. I've been saying this since 2008, but if they beef up the defense...
I would think Arizona would be an excellent spot for Manning. Larry Fitzgerald and eight games in Glendale? That's a top-flight reciever in fantastic stadium with natural grass AND a dome! Add to that a game in San Francisco, Seattle, and St. Louis and you have a cushy gig to say the least...
