You're right. It's never a bad thing putting up 40+. But it is nice to see them win without having to do so. You can't expect to throttle every team every week. Sometimes you have to come from behind. It's always nice to see it happen, as opposed to said throttling.
If I had to nitpick something, it would be the tackling. Left a little to be desired. Would like to see more guys wrapped up. Having said that, it was nice to get a W without having to put up 4359 points.
It was also great to see Brady lead the team to a game winning drive. It's been far to...
I don't think it goes away. Maybe when Belichick retires. But without being able to lable the pats as cheaters, the rest of the league would have to come to terms with the fact that they are just that damn good, year in and year out. I think a lot of people already recognize that, It's just much...
Nailed it.
As far as the WR spots are concerned I think Tate is clearly the odd man out. Given the opportunity Edelman could put up real solid numbers. And he is versatile, playing on special teams as well, while Tate seems to offer little as a pass catcher. We all know how this staff values...
Re: 1st 10 Roster Moves:
I don't see either Yeatman of Smith getting cut in the first wave. I think Yeatman has shown enough to stick around, and the team spent a 5th round pick on Smith. Everything I heard about him coming out of Marshall was that he was a great team guy, and leader in the...
I think the position is going to be a patch job all year. The coaching staff always does a good job finding solid role players that other teams drop, but I don't think we are going to find a good starter from the rest of the leagues scraps. More then likely a role player or two to come off the...
I wouldn't be surprised to see a slight improvement in both sacks and points allowed. The wild card is third down. I have a hard time believing that the coaching staff wouldn't address that issue, and I'm not just talking personnel. I don't know if the problem was scheme or mental last season...
I don't think it will take much for the fans to jump ship. If they lose a couple of their first 4 games it will completely shake the confidence of the team and the fan base coming into NE week 5. Not having guys like Ellis, Woody and Cotchery in the locker room to calm everbodies nerves could do...
re: The 2011 season: The Jets Suck(merged)
So you were obviously never a Pats fan if you just decided one day to jump on a different bandwagon. So do you just pick a new team every year based on who you think will be good? Have you decided which wagon you will jump on next if the Jets suck?
Why is it when we have differing opinions from another member here we have to resort to insulting their intelligence? I'm just getting started here, but if I have to deal with being called stupid every time I post something somebody else disagrees it's almost not worth it. I want to talk...
Things are going pretty good when you can have a debate over where the 4th TE will end up. We all know what Gronk and Hernandez are capable of. And everything I have heard about Smith has been pretty positive. Sounds like he could be a leader in the locker room for years to come. A productive...
Your probably right. But I think the 2001 pats were a better team. A better group as a whole, where the Rams where a more talented collection of individual players. Saying they wern't a good team was inaccurate.
I do have doubts about all the star players in Philly this year blending...
Funny seeing the Eagles at #3. They will certainly be a force this year, but they remind me a lot of the 2001 Rams. Lots of great individual players, who may put up the best numbers. But they arn't a great TEAM yet. We have seen it time and time again, superstars certainly help, but you can...
I see the starting O getting a series or 2. Maybe guys like Welker and Branch play a couple more downs with the other QB's. Tough to say what will happen on defense, cause nobody really knows who the starters are. Maybe a steady stream of the new vets with the younger guys in the first half. I...
Re: Saftey concerns..
I have seena little bit of Ventrone at camp this year. Pure energy from what I have seen. Looks like a gamer. Could be a good special teamer.
Bring back Tank Johnson!
Re: Saftey concerns..
Meriweather certainly isn't my favorite player. Seems to bounce off to many guys trying to make a big hit rather then just wrapping them up. But he is not terrible either and I think they would be foolish to let him go this season. He knows the system, and like it or not...
