Fred, what did Angelo from Everett say? Did you even bother to talk to him about the situation? We really need to know.
I would ask Steve From Fall River but I’m almost certain he’s still doing time for 1/6.
And therein lies the problem. The people screaming the loudest aren’t willing to “ wait and see,”’ they want it now dammitt, and they are going to keep pounding their little fishies and feeties until they get, and then a whole lot more.
You are so smart. I give up. The Patriots shouldn’t take a Quarterback because Josh Rosen was a bust. When you get the chance you should give yourself a whole bunch of pats on the back, because the ones you are currently giving yourself aren’t even close to enough.
You’re right, the Texans never should have taken Stroud at 2 because Zach Wilson was a bust. The cardinal rule for GM’s this, never take a player at a draft when there has been a bust at that potion in the draft before. The prospects grade doesn’t matter, only the history at that position in...
Every draft is different, period. Who took what and how that fared is completely irrelevant to this draft. All that matters is this draft and how they evaluate and grade the prospects, and then how they do once they get in the NFL.
Agree completely. The argument many here keep making, that they shouldn’t no take a QBbat 3 just because they need one is a strawman argument, because no one is suggesting they take on if they don’t believe in them, but if they do believe in them then Ithrre really isn’t any trade compensation...
I’m not sure how they have them rated, but you are absolutely right in saying they can’t wait for the perfect prospect. They still have to have a high enough grade, and belief in their ability to develop them to make the pick. It’s only if they don’t believe they are worth the pick that they...
History has absolutely nothing to do with the prospects in this draft, and Belichick isn’t making the picks. The ONLY thing that is relevant is how they grade the QB’s. If they believe they are franchise caliber then you take them, period. By your logic they should wait until 198 prospects off...
If they don’t believe in the QB then the next option is trading out for the 3 first round picks, or a different short move trade with a team like the Giants, a different position is my last option.
100%. All I keep hearing is about how risky it is to take the Quartetback at 3, and “ the haul” they can get for the pick, yet none of them take into account the fact that they will almost certainly have to turn around and give up 3 first round picks just to get back up and take the franchise...
The Mac Jones experiment should have taught Patriot fans that if your quarterback sucks you are going to have a terrible offense. And if you want to compete you are going to need a really good QB to do so. The likelihood of finding one after the first round is almost nil.
You would like Maye or Daniels. the 2nd round, and I would like the Chiefs to trade Mahomes to us for a 5th round pick. Both are equally likely. Maybe we should talk about Jacoby Brissett winning the MVP while we are talking about things that are completely absurd.
What happened in other drafts under other GM’s has absolutely nothing to do with what this team does now. They have to rebuild the worst offense in football and the highest pick they have had in over 39 years, if they like the QB’s available they need to take one. You don’t win championships...
Don’t take it personally, I respond to what is said, not who said it. I think passing on a franchise quarterback for any other position is insane, and I respond to that proposition. Tackles are important, but you will never win anything without the quarterback.
