I would add Damarkus Lodge to that list of WRs. I think he went under the radar at Ole Miss because of the other receivers there but I think he is a solid player with some upside.
Does anyone have an opinion on Christian Miller?
He always seemed to flash when I watched other players on that Alabama defense. I see him, depending on how his athleticism tests, useful in the Van Noy role as a LB/situational pass rusher. Plus I don't think we would have to use a high draft...
Just wondering how people here feel about Cunningham vs Hasson Reddick? I personally prefer Reddick because I think he plays with more violence and is more of a playmaker. He reminds me a lot of Jamie Collins except not as physically gifted.
What do people around here think of RB Samaje Perine? I think we need a tough runner to complement White/Lewis and this dude seems like a later round solution.
He reminds me of MJD with his low center of gravity and elite vision.
While I agree about worrying about Edleman's health, he statistically is one of the best punt returners of all time. But I would like to see Dion Lewis returning punts next week to increase his value because it looks like White and him are going to make the roster.
I love the idea of BB unleashing Jamie Collins, Dont'a Hightower and Randy Gregory on offenses. Gregory might not have a position but I think BB would find very creative ways of using him.
I saw a couple people mention him but I really like Eli Harold from Virginia. He might not hold up against the run too well but he's so explosive rushing the passer and seems to fall into the trend of BB drafting more athletic defenders (Easley and Collins).
The thing that impresses me, especially considering the offense that we run, is that WVU uses him in the short pass/screen game pretty effectively. Thats the one aspect that bigger receivers have trouble with here in NE.
I think that if Tria Turner from LSU slips to the 4th round, BB should take him (I would be ok with taking him in the 3rd). I personally love to take underclassmen with high contact positions because the number of hits they've taken is a lot lower. Turner is very talented but raw and would not...
I personally like the IDEA of Lawrence and Collins flying around the field under the coaching of BB. But like Collins, I would be more comfortable taking Lawrence in the 2nd round.
I'm not as high on Bucannon as many here and I think Jimmie Ward is the pick if the Patriots trade down. He is not a big hitter like Bucannon but is a much better tackler in the open field IMO. Also out of all the safeties, I think Ward has the best cover skills (Dix is a better center fielder...
I think that we also have to look at where we are in the in the draft. At #29 we are right in front of the Texans at 33 who very likely could be looking for a QB. I think there will be a lot of QB needy teams who passed on one early in the 1st round and want to jump in front of the Texans to...
But what if Browner isn't good? What if Dennard doesn't take the next step? These are 2 very possible situations. I think there's at least 5 who have the potential to be #1 corners so if 3 get picked from 22-28, I think they might pick one at 29 and not risk he falls to their 2nd round pick...
I agree with this as an ideal situation but I guess my point was if a situation came up where there was a big run on CBs in the end of the 1st round, I wouldn't be against us picking one at 29.
Just curious why you would hate to draft a DB? To me it's still as much of a need as it was before the Revis trade. Revis may cover up the fact that we have no guarantee's in the secondary for a year but we still need talent. Browner is 30 and has been out of football for a year, Revis might be...
