    2018 Draft Prospect Thread

Anyone else as high as I am on Lorenzo Carter? Feel like he's definitely going first round (and will require using 23 to ensure we get him). He had Ronnie Harrison are my binkies and 23 and 31, respectively, much needed speed and athletism with both.

What bothers you the most about all this?

For me it's the complete failure of neutrality and the witch hunt that has ensued solely because this involves the Patriots. In the same offseason that a Falcon's department head (I think game day operations?) admits to deliberately breaking the rules by pumping in crowd noise ( for several...

Report - Brady and McCourty already back to work..

    (1) Isn't the franchise tag an average of the salaries of the top few guys at the position ( whatever that number may be).... In which case it makes complete sense to pay arguably the best kicker in the league a salary calculated as the average of the 3-5 highest players at the position ; (2)...

Who should have the Patriots taken at 48 instead of Wilson

Wow it sounds as if Worthy is the second coming of Suh. How on earth did he make through the mid-second round? I don't see how anyone can complain about Wilson before he has even played a snap. In my opinion he fills a HUGE need on the team and will play the inside 3rd safety/strong corner...

    NFLN or ESPN ?

The NFL Network analysts blow ESPN out of the water. The problem with the NFLN, however, is that their actual highlights of the player after the pick is limited to the player running around at the combine or senior bowl practice. I just like the full effect of seeing player highlights from...

2012 New England Patriots Pre Draft Contact List

Lavonte David had a private workout with Bill? Isn't that the most telling telling sign of interest? I would be absolutely pumped with him- seems to have it all with top tier intangibles play recognition, and sideline to sideline ability. While not a true fit in the base 3-4 of old, the league...

LSU CB Ron Brooks - Where would you draft him?

Ron Brooks Haven't see much talk about him. Similar to Vereen last year, I feel this guy is almost certain to be a Patriot as the team has interviewed and/or worked him out at every level of the pre-draft process. Quick twitch nickle back and incredible special teamer who will fit in nicely...

My Early Choices For Round One: C Peter Kronz, OLB/DE Nick Perry or DE Jared Crick

Re: My Early Choices For Round One I am not a fan of Z. Brown at all. Sure he is big, fast, and looks pretty running around out there but he is incredible soft and a poor tackler. Heck, I don't think he would even be able to a strong contributor on special teams early on as he will get...

    Secret weapon, Faulk?

Let's be honest here. Faulk is old, slow, and from from an impact player at this stage. He is on active roster for three reasons 1) out of respect to him; 2) his leadership; and 3) as a reliable fall back on punt returns/special teams. He is by no means a secret weapon and a mediocre linebacker...

What did Rex "the clown" Ryan say about this game again?

Not to repeat what others have already said, but what did Ihedigho do today. Personally, I recall cursing him out several times- he is awful in coverage and was victimized like 3 plays in a row by Pitta.

Pats/Ravens = wide open high scoring game

I agree. I actually think a player that is flying under the radar is Lee Evans, not so much from a production standpoint, but in terms of accounting for him on the deep ball. I wouldn't be surprised if the Ravens come out with a lot of three wide featuring Boldin, Smith, and Lee Evans.

OMG. Steelers out. Saints out. Packers out.

The Pats lost to the Giants without Nicks playing. He is precisely the type of receiver that gives the team fits. Between Nicks, Cruz, and Manningham and that pass rush- the Giants are our worst nightmare.

OMG. Steelers out. Saints out. Packers out.

Giants are the Patriot's worst nightmare right now. Incredible pass rush and an offense that will spread out and brutalize their D.

NFL Wild Card: Steelers at Broncos

I don't think I have seen anything as hilarious/uncomfortable as Merrill Hoge being forced to sit live on national television nervously twiddling his fingers and making ridiculous excuses ( he even whipped out the injury excuse) for the Steeler's performance. It's priceless.

Patriots 53 Man Roster Projection 2.0

I don't think any of this has to do with his ability to play- obviously he was solid for a rookie last year. As others have said, I think he is very immature and did something serious enough to be told to stay away from the team.

Patriots 53 Man Roster Projection 2.0

I'm in the camp that truly believes Spikes is on the outs. I'm certainly not one to make a habit of relying on twitter but took a long based on some of the threads around here- he certainly does not seem pleased with his current situation and all indications point to the fact that he has been...
