I don't think this is a terrible point, but YAC yards aren't the greatest metric in the world. Moss (in 07) was not a guy who took a 5 yard slant 50 yards for a TD, but was still the most valuable member of that offense. It's also harder to accumulate YAC when you spend most of your time away...

This pretty much sums it up. They drafted 5 team captains - a bunch of leaders which is what this team needed.

Anyone else notice Harbaugh flipping out on the sideline about how the incomplete pass at 0:09 only took 2 seconds off the clock? Seemed fishy washing it live too, anyone with a DVR know if they ran that clock correctly?

I think the point is that it is frustrating that we never seem to have truly explosive backs. Tony Romo threw the ball 550 times this year, Brady threw it 565. But how many big plays did Felix Jones make? Explosive players don't need the ball 40 times per game to make an impact. And it would...

I always think about this when I watch other teams play. In the last few weeks we've seen Hightower, Felix Jones, Reggie Bush, Ray Rice, Shonn Greene and others rip off long TD runs. I feel like I can count the long Patriot runs from the last 5 years on one hand. Must be nice.
