I don't get the SF love. A Jimmy G Superbowl win would further validate how the Patriots screwed up his situation and could have extended the Dynasty for years to come. Additionally, I don't want a third team to have six Lombardi's.
There will be years when making a wild card game is successful. When you have the best QB/coach combo in NFL history, it's unfortunately a failed season.
For the most part I handle losses better than I used to. I think a big part of that is because back in 06/07, I was a single guy trying to find myself. Now I'm married with two kids. Not that I've totally found myself yet, or ever will, but I just don't have the time to dwell on these type of...
I'm quite worried about the home field advantage Minnesota will have. Im guessing the crowd will be at minimum 80/20 vikings fans, probably more.
Rooting hard for Philly next week.
For me, 2014 took the sting out of 2011, since they were both close back and forth games.
2016 took the sting out of 2006, since they were both huge comebacks.
The only thing that could take the sting out of 2007 would be an undefeated season.
I think Houston is a slightly easier match up for us than Miami. Therefore, the only way I see it beneficial for the Dolphins to win is if Houston could somehow go into Arrowhead and pull the upset. As I am a realist, I think Pitt is who we should be rooting for today.
Volin is from Florida and is an obvious Dolphins fan. I am from Boca Raton and most of my best friends are Jewish so please don't take this the wrong way, but he reminds me of all my whiny SoFla Jewish friends who are miserable that the Patriots have ruined the Dolphins last 15+ years.
The way I understand it, the only way the Patriots don't get the #1 seed is if
1) The Patriots lose the last two games, AND
2) The winner of next week's DEN-CIN game also wins in week 17.
Brandon, in all honesty do you really think he looked that good? I think he pretty much did what was asked of him, which was not turn the ball over and a lot of short passes. He held on to the ball a long time, which led to a handful of sacks. On the second touchdown, the defense was terrible...
Patriots actually have the bye Week 4, right after the Jacksonville game, so it seems perfect to let him rest vs BUF and JAX, then have him come back vs Dallas after the bye week.
Definitely hoping for a guard and a cornerback to be drafted today. A.J. Cann and Ali Marpett are my top two remaining guards, and at CB Jalen Collins, Eric Rowe, Quentin Rollins, Ronald Darby, P.J. Williams, and Josh Shaw are options. Not sure if any of those guys are going to fall to our...
Correct, we will get a comp pick for him as well, as long as we lose more free agents than we sign. You can only get as many comp picks as net free agents signed/lost. If we sign more than we lose, we won't get any. If we lose one more than we sign, we get one comp, which would be Revis...
With Revis, Browner, and potentially Wilfork, might be a nice bundle of comp picks headed our way next year. Depending on the amount of signings we make.
The answer: Neither
However, the Pats gave Browner a very flexible contract with no signing bonus, meaning there is absolutely no cap hit when cut. So that's what they did.
Amendola on the other hand is much more difficult. The question is, would you rather take a cap hit of $5 mill with...
