Didn't seem to be much work to get a long term deal done. I think the team may be shifting to faster more explosive players. I think he leaves next season and Thornton takes a bigger role (expecting him to not have a very big one this season).

Hope we have a more playable backup on the roster but glad to have Hoyer back as QB coach essentially. I don’t know why Stidham was even on the team last year if he couldn’t get garbage snaps over Hoyer.

It sounds like he may not play Sunday either (did not practice). Has had issues his whole career with health/weight/conditioning. It’s pretty weird to nearly play for like a month straight, this calf may be worse than expected and he’s a rather large human which doesn’t help.
