I think Bill meant that they don't concern themselves with the PSI as the Refs check/adjust it anyway. They tell them they want it at the 12.5. Refs do it or they don't.
I have a slightly different view.
If they had deflated the balls, or if they had pumped them to 12.5 with hot air, knowing they'd likely drop below outside later on and that was it, then I would not care. It's such a minuscule thing. However.... If after explicitly denying that they knew...
The logical approach to determine wrong-doing and any punishment to be given... which pretty much ensures it won't be used by Goodell...
1 - Does anyone admit to tampering with the balls? Yes? Stiff punishment for all involved. Fines and draft picks. No? Move to #2
2 - Did the officials check...
I agree that there is a middle ground. I guess where we differ is that I don't see Felger as being so far out of the middle when it comes to analysis of the Pats. I don't think he is such an extreme. He usually brings data to an argument and he is open to discussion or analysis that proves him...
You're on to something here. Mazz is a puppy to Felger. Personally, I think Felger is a master at what he does. No one prepares like he does and everything he says is calculated to bring out the best show that gets people to listen and talk. He may be a contrarian by design but that's the...
I agree! Not a dome, but get rid of the lighthouse/bridge and wrap the stands around both sides. Heck, if Kraft wants a pub to go in there, keep the endzone seats where they are, raise the jumbrotron and put the pub in underneath it!! Or just move MacDonalds or whatever the hell is there now.
THAT was more like it!! But this needs to be a regular thing, not a sometimes thing. THAT is the point. The atmosphere can effect the game play and it certainly makes for a more enjoyable experience as a fan.
Better acoustics would certainly help (probably good for an added 20dbl I would...
I was fortunate enough to be in Kansas City for the game Monday night. It was far better than sulking on my couch. I had a great and relatively cheap opportunity to see the Pats at Arrowhead Stadium, as well as a Kansas State home game on Saturday afternoon. The football experience out there...
However, why Indy is in the 'South" is beyond me... Probably because they wanted to keep the AFC North as is.
Indy makes sense in North, Miami in South and Baltimore East.
I was in 100% agreement until the last line. I don't think KT has reached his ceiling and it is much higher than what he reached last year. However, to your point, it's nowhere near what Watkins potential is.
For what it is worth, I was at TC two years ago and noticed that even a healthy Vince doesn't skip. (I recall Edelman and Welker the only players going all out for every rep in warm-ups)
I don't understand where the idea of LaFell being a 'move' TE came from. I get the speculation of Browner at safety (even though I think that is years away). LaFell is a decent sized WR, but an extremely undersized TE of any kind. He's 6'2" and 210. A "move" TE will play in the backfield, end...
