Re: I got my plate, silverware, and some doggy bags. Now I'm ready for the main cours This isn't the defense from last year. Our linebackers playing right now cannot cover or tackle. This defense would not have made the stops needed last year that allowed us to come back. Also the offense...

Crow is on the menu........ serve it up boys (and ladies) Good team effort by the Pats getting stops on D when they needed and moving the ball also with will. All I can say is I hope we get some people back and push through to the playoffs. Patriots look like one of the teams to beat...

The Colts have beat the Patriots 5 out of the last 6 meetings

I have never seen a bigger bunch of excuse makers lol really there are a ***Few*** posters here who have manned up and admit that life in the NFL is a game of inches, dropped passes, missed assignments etc... but the vast majority of what I'm seeing here is juvenile whining "if, and, woulda...

The Colts have beat the Patriots 5 out of the last 6 meetings

If the Colts lose i'll be back with a crow thread that can get 100 more replies. It won't be the end of the world or the season. However I haven't been proclaiming that the Colts are unbeatable or even that they would win the game this sunday......I've just been here shooting a lil back and...

The Colts have beat the Patriots 5 out of the last 6 meetings

Yet they are still in 1st place in their division only a couple games out of first place in the AFC after one of the worst starts in recent years and after the worst injury epidemic in modern team history. The window sure is closing  As long as Peyton Manning is behind center the...

The Colts have beat the Patriots 5 out of the last 6 meetings

Since that first victory against the Patriots in 05, they've won 1 and been to 2. So they've gone on to 1 more SB than the Pats and also won 1 more as well. Was that some type of trick question?

so, the Colts have some boo-boo's, right?

I have to disagree, and Freeney made Mathis imo, and clearly Mathis has learned most of his skillset from Dwight. However, Antoine Bethea is most likely the most important cog in our defense. And yes I understand Bob is never healthy and a healthy Bob Sanders is a oxymoron, still I would take...

The Colts have beat the Patriots 5 out of the last 6 meetings

Actually...The first (and to this point only) person to answer the question in my original post, was PatsFanSince74 who didn't do it until page 6 post #56 My first reply to anyone was post 6 where I said that nothing was a given in Colts/Patriots, and I go into every game not doubting any...

The Colts have beat the Patriots 5 out of the last 6 meetings

Wow I'm really losing some of you. This conversation has NOTHING to do with The Colts vs Patriots ppg It has been about the INCREASE of the COLTS PPG and success against the Patriots defense. I don't see what the last 2 posters comparing the Colts/Pats PPG are trying to get at in the context...

The Colts have beat the Patriots 5 out of the last 6 meetings

Why take out any games? Oh so you can manipulate the stats to fit your argument........ I listed every game in the rivalry without moving taking out or distorting any facts And the 10+ ppg difference was the COLTS increase over the first 4 games to the last 6 READING COMPREHENSION so...

The Colts have beat the Patriots 5 out of the last 6 meetings

Provide some stats like I just did and maybe we can have this conversation, but I'll go out on a limb and say nobody has had a bigger increase in PPG and Win/loss Ratio against the Patriots than Peyton and the Colts

The Colts have beat the Patriots 5 out of the last 6 meetings

LOL this will really be my last response to you in particular A team goes from 0-4, 18 ppg against a particular defense to 5-1, scoring almost 30 ppg against this same team What exactly are you trying to say??? And the last game these teams played (the only one that truley matters at all at...

The Colts have beat the Patriots 5 out of the last 6 meetings

Since 2003 (when this era of the rivalry began) Patriots Dominance Nov. 30, 2003 Indianapolis New England Patriots 38-34 Jan. 18, 2004 Foxborough New England Patriots 24-14 Sep. 9, 2004 Foxborough New England Patriots 27-24 Jan. 16, 2005 Foxborough New England Patriots 20-3 Colts...

The Colts have beat the Patriots 5 out of the last 6 meetings

Okay, well welcome to the twilight zone where 310 Yards 1 td no interceptions 91 QB rating is "struggling" That 2008 team was a division winner, playing at home BTW As I said maybe 2 posts ago, Defense/Special teams lost those games to the chargers not Peyton Manning, no matter how hard you...

so, the Colts have some boo-boo's, right?

 I'd Take Freeney and Mathis over anyone on The Patriots D Then Antoine Bethea over anyone left over Then a (healthy) Bob Sanders over ANYONE on both D's And there is a difference between your team getting rid of you, and being injured...you do know this correct? So Bob Sanders...

so, the Colts have some boo-boo's, right?

What excuses did I make? There are several claims in this thread that the Pats have more serious injuries than the Colts and the media has overplayed our injury situation, I simply stated why that is not true. What's your deal? No excuses, no explanations

The Colts have beat the Patriots 5 out of the last 6 meetings

The only game out of the 3 you just tried to used against Peyton, 2005 in the only one that you can arguably say he had a average game, yet he did all he could to lead the team to a huge comeback (Vandershank missed the kick to tie the game) The losses to the Chargers were due to our subpar...

so, the Colts have some boo-boo's, right?

Quality over Quantity my friend. The Pats are built off general players that fill in when needed. The Colts are built off scheme-specific speed type players that are tailored to fit a particular need, more so than other teams. The players lost as a whole for the Colts mean much more in terms...

The Colts have beat the Patriots 5 out of the last 6 meetings

Why don't you present the entire list of recent scores instead of cherry picking just two (one where the Colts won the game anyway, I wouldn't call 20 or 18 points being shut out) so yes, I would say Peyton has in recent years "figured out" The Pats defense. You have any reason to say he hasn't?
