    Bolts/Bronco Divisional Round Discussion Thread.

Re: Stat of the day:Things to do in Denver when your dead. I think the 2005 game was the AFC championship, not the divisional game.

    Divisional Round picks

Same picks as the OP. Really hoping SD can pull off the upset. San Francisco will give Carolina's D problems now that they got Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree both healthy unlike in the first matchup.

    Boyce to IR

I feel bad for the young guy. Hopefully he can get a bigger role in the offense next season. Looking forward to seeing him progress as a football player. Dude's got talent.

A little preview article on the SNF game

A nice little morning read on the game. Good analysis. Check it out. Post some thoughts below. Patriots vs Broncos: Battle Of The Heavyweights - New England Patriots

Curran: Brady and his no-good, 6-2 Pats march on

6-2 and the best is still yet to come for this team. Hopefully Vereen will be back to be the change of pace RB that the offense has been missing since week 2, Brady will get better with his receivers and the defense will gel and get Kelly/Talib back as the season goes on. I also love the fact...

How much longer do we have to deal with Gregory?

I gotta think it's the chemistry he has with the others on the defense that has made him better. The continuity (10 of 11 returning starters from the year before) of the personnel helped the defense big time.

Fun Fact About the Brady Comeback

Not that it means anything, but the Saints game and the Cowboys game in 2011 were also both on FOX with Thom Brennaman and Troy Aikman as the commentators. The feel of both games were similar, both with the Patriots down late in the 4th, only for Brady to pull off GW TD drives with a catch...

    Pros, Cons, and Everything In-Between

With the injuries on offense, growing pains are to be expected. I would rather have the struggles now and early in the season than in the winter. But hopefully by the end of the season, the Patriots will be able to attack defenses with a full arsenal of weapons and showcase what their offense...

    Best Game Announcers?

I gotta say Jim Nantz and Phil Simms. I just feel right at home listening to these guys commentate over games.

    How optimistic are you feeling?

I'm optimistic. Once the offense gets Amendola and Gronk back to patrol the middle of the field, the rookie WRs will get more room to operate, the run game will be better and most importantly, the red zone efficiency will be better. Getting Vereen back will be awesome too, as he is a threat in...

Thursday night opener - Ratbids @ Donkys

I think Denver wins, but I'm rooting for Baltimore, as I did in the playoff game last January. I think the Ravens D makes some plays, but the lack of passing threats in the middle of the field (no Boldin or Pitta) makes it tough for Flacco to keep up with Manning and his receivers. Rice and...

Some really good signs out there tonight

The front 7 is looking real good. Especially the defensive line, with Kelly's interior pass rush and Jones' improvement. I honestly can't wait to see this defensive unit with the main guys in the secondary healthy (McCourty/Dennard). And Jamie Collins looked good too. His athleticism definitely...

Which Pat Had the Worst Performance Against The Eagles?

I gotta say Tim Tebow on this one.
  15. MoneyFX

Can our offense be better than last years?

I don't think the offense will put up the same numbers as last season. But, if Brady has good chemistry with the new targets, the offense can be more varied and actually tougher to stop than in recent years. The WR group has lots of unknowns. But they actually have the ability to go downfield...

NFLN morons: Patriots will "take a step back" this season

I think Baltimore's defense could definitely be better this season, but the offense won't do as well, without proven targets in the middle of the field (Dennis Pitta and Anquan Boldin) to complement Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones on the outside.

    Who Ya Got? (AFC version)

In no particular order of seeding: North: Steelers South: Texans East: Patriots West: Broncos Wild Cards: Bengals & Colts Ravens, Chargers & Dolphins are on outside looking in. Patriots & Broncos will both get the first round bye.

    NFL training camp injuries

Boldin and Pitta on the inside were the perfect compliment to Smith and Jones on the outside. Ed ****son needs to step up huge. Ray Rice might have to catch even more passes.

    "Don't worry, we have Brady"

re: "Don't worry, we have Brady" Yeah the lack of turnovers is a problem. When the offense struggles, you need the defense to help the offense out by giving them more opportunities for the ball (3 and outs) along with shorter fields (creating turnovers).
