Whether people agree or disagree, the right call was made.
By rule a fumble is the loss of player possession of the ball. ASJ clearly loses possession of the ball while in the air and to regain possession of the ball has to possess the ball in bounds. He landed out of bounds through the...
Anyone on the receiving team can signal for a fair catch and once the ball is caught it is dead. Only the player giving the fair catch signal is afforded protection though. You still can't interfere with the opportunity to catch the ball but for example last night when Thomas, since Hill...
I played high school, college and 4 years of semi-pro football....I was working out at the KC Chiefs facility with one of my college coaches hoping to get an opportunity but I got speared in my back causing herniated discs during my senior year of college....It kind of ended my dream of playing...
Not being pessimistic but from my sports medicine days in college it usually takes 2 years to fully recover from and ACL injury. The 1st year is physical and the second year is mental. I wouldnt rush him back unless you see that he is running and trusting the knee fully, otherwise he will run a...
I can see the Pats running some 3-4 this year with Brown-knighton-branch to clog the middle and use Nink, Sheard, Collins or Hightower on blitzes to get pressure. It would allow us to only rush 4 and not have to worry about the run with the 3 big bodies clogging it up.
I will take one of the DE positions. I am 6'7", 350lbs and I still work out daily. I can hold the point of attack but dont have the explosion to rush the passer.
The worst thing about Weddle signing with the ratbird's is that now I have to hear about how great these pieces of Sh*t will be this year.....I hate living around these terrible, uneducated ratbird's fans....They really are the worst I have ever come in contact with.....
I really think it was just miscommunication between BB and Slater. BB wanted to kick off but wanted to pick the direction to play the wind and by telling Slater we want to kick and in which direction he put a lot of trust into Slater to KNOW he should say defend this goal. I don't think Slater...
I am a high school referee for which I know it is different in the NFL but I wanted to try and clarify some things that may be confusing people.
The opening coin toss of the game there are 4 options:
Kick - You elect to kickoff which obviously means that the other team will receive and they...
We have 4 picks in the first 3 rounds. If we hit on 2 out 4 then we are good. You aren't going to hit on everyone and we still have back to back picks coming up.
I would trade up for Cam Erving. He is going to be a beast and has OL position flexibility in case of injury at any position. I also am friends with a guy that works for GM Jr which is run by an ex-nfl scout and he went to the senior bowl and gets to meet/interview draft prospects. He met with...
I also live in the Baltimore area and I am about to start knocking Ratbirds fans heads off. I am so sick of the whining complaining pieces of garbage that they are. They don't know facts and just spew crap to make themselves feel better. They say that since there game with the Pats was close...
I can tell you what some of them are saying. I live in baltimore and went out to breakfast with my family on purpose this morning wearing all of my patriots stuff. Of course the ratbirds fans starting flapping their gums and I tried talking to them logically (which by the way isn't possible to...
I didn't want to confuse people anymore but the bolded part is correct. The call is based upon the initial force that put the ball into the endzone. The initial force is the kickoff and even though I know people will say that the Colts player kicking the ball into the endzone put the ball in the...
There are so many rules and exceptions to every rule that it is tough to comprehend the rulings sometimes. The ball being touched in the field of play doesn't indicate the end of the kick (which is the most important part of the ruling in this situation) for which the end of the kick was...
I am a high school official and I can tell you the high school rule which I believe is the same as in the NFL. The kick isn't over until either the ball goes out of bounds, the ball goes 10 yards and is recovered by the kicking team or the receiving team gains POSSESSION of the ball. The play...
