Will Patriots ever be respected again?

x2 What surprises me are some of the people who I thought were knowledgeable of the game were making some outlandish remarks.

    SM Young at Passing Camp...

Vilma and Robertson were taken under Herms Edwards, IMO very good players for a 43 base defense. The fact that Mangini took the HC job with this personal group and jettison them a couple of season later tells me some things; he might have been arrogant to think that he can change them to a 34...

Jose Canseco: I know that chicken is on the juice.

OT, to lighten the mood: Specter & others, on why the chicken crossed the road

Ross Perot's VP running mate: Who was that chicken? What was it doing there?

OT, to lighten the mood: Specter & others, on why the chicken crossed the road

2007 World Series Champs: All is forgiven, we finally buried the hackett on that chicken. Jonathan Papelbon: to find that baseball my dog chewed up.

Evidence of other NFL teams stealing signs

Yup. And more so, by deciphering the signal, Adams can determine if the personnel on the field blew a coverage or bit hard on a fake. He can keep tabs on the coaches thought processes and his players ability to carry them out.

OT, to lighten the mood: Specter & others, on why the chicken crossed the road

Dr McCoy: d%#*!@t Jim….I’m a doctor, not a chicken psychologist! Scotty: There’s too much sensor interference; I can’t get a transporter lock. Mr. Spock: The chick crossed it in 2 minutes and 43.04621 seconds to be exact.

OT, to lighten the mood: Specter & others, on why the chicken crossed the road

Dan Rather: CBS news has obtained documents stating that the chicken’s commanding officer did not authorize the road crossing. Duval Patrick: Together we can….let all chickens cross that road. Godfather: He had an offer he couldn’t refuse.

    Defensive headset rules in preseason

Was thinking the same.... If teams do use the headsets, I would think that most DCs or assistants would also signal in personnel packages just to get the right guys off the field just to save time. Of course, this can be easily contrived by the talking head that the opposing teams are...

Peter King Wow! Where do I begin?

Ditto... very well written. Let me point out one thing that you outlined below. The points you made about how Goodell was so incompetent in this matter is really obvious. Furthermore, Goodell indirectly belittled the efforts of Tagliabue and championship teams in the past because by Goodell's...

    Defensive headset rules in preseason

Re: defensive headset rules in preseason. Seems rather restrictive given all the rotations/sub packages involved.

    Love him or hate him...

Yup, I didn't hear the big show but I think Glean nailed it. You can really see how hypocritical Mazz was on this one. IMO, some of these guys are losing touch with reality.

    Love him or hate him...

Had he have written the agendas of other journalist in his opinion piece title "nobody wins this one", it would have placed it into context. He would not come off as an elitist by placing the double standard on the fans. IMO, the point these guys are missing is that most are outrage by the witch...

    Love him or hate him...

IMO, the statements from Mazz's reply is being hypocrtical, I bolded the sections that makes me think this is so. As somebody who writes in the print media, he did not question his peers and accepted their words. Yet he criticizes the fans doing this? Very elitist if you asked me.

Now HERE'S a sports reporter actually doing the job: Welker-Moss soccer

Yeah, Walker has a great attitude, equally impressive is Moss. A first round draft pick and multiple pro bowler seeking out ways to improve his game.

Bill and Stephen Belichick at Celtics game

Mother I Like to F*** BTW Cougars, older woman looking for younger men.... if you know what I mean.

    Mike Reiss Appreciation Thread

Back in the days, I liked reading Borges, he worked for stories and outlined facts to support it. IMO, his best highlights; when he reported on the drug problem under Raymond Berry and later on he made the case for Tipplet going to the hall b/c he had comparable and sometime better stats than...

Mayo Ranked 8th in Scout's Rookie Power Rankings

Dunno, they might tweak this into a 1gap 34. Seems the lb coach is a carry over from the 43. If the D line will shade to overload on Gholston's side, he could use his physical skills to pass rush. The problem is the MLBs has to cover plenty of ground. The second problem is every know and then...
