    Austin Pettis?

Being late for a meeting in the NFL can be a career killer but so can not producing. Question: Pettis was the Rams #6 WR & is best known for? Answer: His Mighty Ducks tat on the back of his neck. We can't get Dobson on the field + Edelman is backed by Amendola. Pettis is another slot guy...

Report: Patriots Want To Trade Up In First Round, Draft Wide Receiver

Niklas comes from the Matthews family of great NFL football players with a tie in to BB. ND TE Troy Niklas' uncle is the great 14X ProBowler OL for the Houston Oilers, Bruce Matthews. His brother Clay Jr. played LB for the Browns with BB as HC. Here's what wiki says Quote: Bruce comes from a...

Former Patriots RG Brian Waters out for the season in Dallas

Waters and Suh had some epic although short lived battles. Waters left in the 2nd qtr not to return. Godzilla vs King Kong while it lasted. Waters is now on IR with a broken rib, a knee injury and a torn triceps muscle. "I had an MRI on every part of my body" Waters said. "I barely got out...

Cardinals WR Ryan Swope retires due to concussions

This is very sad news. He was 6th on my WR list until I learned of his concussion history at the combine. Maybe he's getting out before permanent damage has been done. I hope so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agsMmAL_nn8

    The Biggest Offensive Season

I look forward to having a healthy Gronk this year but not until at least game 3. He may play before that although I don't see how he could be the Gronk we know and love before gm 3. But my anticipation is that Amendola could have a huge season and surprise even Rams fans. 100/1000+/14 TDs...

Aaron Dobson - underestimated even as a rookie?

Thanks, Os. I guess I wasn't as clear as I could have been. When assessing Dobson I think it's important to remember his pre-draft ranking among WRs. Most of the media and interwebz 'scouts' had him pegged anywhere from the 12-13 range as far down as the 20th ranked WR in the draft. (Some...

Aaron Dobson - underestimated even as a rookie?

This was a very good thread to read through with a lot of knowledge in evidence. Imagine my surprise to find this post, the very best post on the very last page (thus far). Just watch the 1st half of the last game for all the evidence you need to see for RZ weakness. Great post, Aus. And...

Aaron Dobson - underestimated even as a rookie?

Curious and a little surprised you don't even mention Edelman. On your list I'd have put him third for now. It's all premature; TC will be critical.

Aaron Dobson - underestimated even as a rookie?

Good catch. I was too hurried & neglected to include 2012. Hilton's 4.3 speed from the slot allowed him to gain the 2nd most YAC (7.9) in the NFL last year. Harvin, of course was first. Blackmon and Hilton would rank 11 and 12 on my list.

Aaron Dobson - underestimated even as a rookie?

    Here's a list of the top WR rookie seasons of the last 10 years. Dobson was drafted in Rnd 2 pick 59. 1. Anquan Boldin. 101 rec for 1337 yds and 8 TDs. Rnd 2 pick 54. 2003. 2. Michael Clayton. 80/1193/7TDs. Rnd 1 pick 15, 2004. 3. A.J. Green. 65/1,057/7. Rnd 1 pick 4. 2011. 4...

With Gronk likely to start season on PUP, here is the Pats depth chart at TE

Count me in as one who thinks Sudfeld makes the 53 man roster. His receiving skills are very good...hands catcher, soft hands, fluid movement and fast enough for a TE. After the good press he got last week I went back over some tape Saturday bc I wanted to assess his blocking skills. I think...

    Best Offensive Weapons since 2007?

    1. His best 6 years which is 2007-2012. 2. The article computes Welker's contribution to the whole as a percentage. 3. Yes, WW's stats were great but his percentage contribution is less than I had thought. 4. I agree but this article isn't about the Pats' 2007 season. It's a history...

So, why did they move the draft to May?

Easter falls on the weekend in April the draft would have been. It had to be moved b/c the Music Hall was booked for the Easter festivities.

Bedard on radio talking Pats right now

Reading it again you're right. Typing feverishly to catch up after some dead space - it should have said the year before. I should have caught the error on proof reading, though. Btw, that was a 2 hour program with a lot of good less restricted information from Bedard. I believe he was...

Bedard on radio talking Pats right now

Greg Bedard spoke candidly with Jon Meterperel on "MeterRadio" today. Paraphrasing...all according to Bedard Bedard said Gronk just wasn't the same player last year that he was the year before. He dealt with numerous injuries throughout the yr plus the ankle was never back to full...

    Best Offensive Weapons since 2007?

Ranking receivers. When I first saw this article that ranks the top 150 receivers in NFL history in terms of personal % of total team yards, I immediately thought WW's percentage would be up toward the top. It seemed every other pass Brady threw was to WW. This article uses a receiver's top 6...

    Day 2 Mock

Day 2, I'm rolling with: 52. Hunt or Carradine (unless there's a run on WRs. If so go to 59 first) 59. Allen, Woods, Wheaton 83. Wheaton, Hunter, Rogers, Bailey, Patton, Dobson 91. Marcus Lattimore, Terron Armstead, Short, Montori Hughes
  19. chevss454

I've come around on Robert Woods.

If Patterson is available, it's Allen(medicals cleared)/Woods(medicals cleared)/Wheaton for me. In that order realizing a trade back would give best value. edit: oops. I should have added it doesn't hurt that Caserio has discussed the pro-style offenses of Cal and USC for giving their WRs an...

I've come around on Robert Woods.

Very nice. Thanks for putting it up, MM, it's been a while since I watched it. ;)
