    2023 Draft Prospects

I'm excited about a couple Alabama prospects: - Cameron Latu TE - Jordan Battle S Latu has the combination of blocking and athleticism after the catch like a Dallas Goedert. Battle is one of the very few intimidating guys left in secondaries anywhere. Projects similarly to Jamal Adams.

    BGC 2022 WR/PTP Thread

I think Danny Gray has potential (obviously), but he’s too straight line and too limited in route running to be anything more than a 6th/7th round pick. If you were a pure spread team like the Chiefs, you might rank him a little higher. He caught my eye while I was looking for top deep threats...

    BGC 2022 WR/PTP Thread

Gray is extremely fast. We'll see what the combine says, but I think Gray and Skyy Moore are likely the fastest WRs in the class.

    BGC 2022 IOL/PTP Thread

I like Dohnovan West at center. One of those bigger bodied centers that can work on an island.

    BGC 2022 CB/PTP Thread

It's extremely hard to have sleepers at CB. Unless they are special scheme fits, they just have to be good, and everyone knows who is good. Relatively speaking. It's also difficult to scout corners, so I am less motivated to dive deep into the list of prospects. My favorite CB is Kaiir Elam...

    BGC 2022 WR/PTP Thread

This is a very rich WR class. You all know some of the big names. Below are my favorites after round 1: Christian Watson Alec Pierce Wandale Robinson Skyy Moore Danny Gray Kyle Phillips Reggie Robinson Jr

    BGC 2022 Rush/PTP Thread

I'm a fan of Arnold Ebiketie. One of the fastest outside rushers in the draft. Very productive in college. Demonstrates very good lean and strength, which is somewhat uncommon for these "athletes" on the edge that often only have straightline speed.

    BGC 2022 RB/PTP Thread

I like Zamir White, Ty Chandler, and Rachaad White. Zamir has the very rare combination of homerun speed and size/aggresiveness to pound it inside. Runs angry. Reminds me of a poor man's Adrian Peterson. Ty Chandler and Rachaad White are versatile speed backs that can hit the outside stretch...

    BGC 2022 Saf/PTP Thread

Very solid S class, although I don't like the biggest name. I don't like Hamilton or O'Neal. I'm generally not a fan of safeties with limited movement skills and scheme limitations. I like Brisker, Daxton Hill, and Bubba Bolden (partly because I think he goes 4-6th round, where he's more...

    BGC 2022 TE/PTP Thread

Not a strong TE class. My favorite at the moment is Gerrit Prince. He stands out to me as possibly the best receiver at TE in the draft. Good speed and hands. There may be other decent inline blockers out there, but I was strictly looking for receiving talent.

    BGC 2022 QB/PTP Thread

I don't like any of the highly ranked guys. - Pickett has tiny hands, mediocre arm, little mobility - Willis still doesn't know how to pass - Ridder has tools and decent mechanics but lacks accuracy, arm, and may be a mental midget as well. Weird combo because he simultaneously has potential...

Semi OT: Flores suing NFL and NYG. Texts from Bill involved in the suit.

Ok, allow me to adjust my original statement for the past tense. Do you know of any black billionaires who wanted to buy a franchise but were barred from doing so?

Semi OT: Flores suing NFL and NYG. Texts from Bill involved in the suit.

In theory, I somewhat agree. The reason this doesn't really work in practice is that coaches are not different in similar ways. It is not a matter of a few simple measurables. The differences are immeasurable and ultimately somewhat orthogonal. For instance, the Giants didn't just like Daboll...

I don't know of any black billionaires interested in buying an NFL franchise. Do you?

49ers Mac Jones Bombshell: Joel Klatt says Mac Jones was the original choice for SF.

The point was that Wentz was ready to play right away. I'm not saying they will have the same career trajectory or that they are the same player. He needs way better decision making? You know he threw like 1 interception in his entire career, right? Given the claims that he is inaccurate and...

49ers Mac Jones Bombshell: Joel Klatt says Mac Jones was the original choice for SF.

He did have inconsistency in his mechanics. However, he has a cleaner throwing motion and better dropback footwork than most QBs in the draft. And since he only played 1 game in 2020, he's been working for like 6 months on his mechanics. At his pro day, the inconsistency with his mechanics were...

49ers Mac Jones Bombshell: Joel Klatt says Mac Jones was the original choice for SF.

What makes you say he will need the most development time? I just explained all of the reasons that he doesn't need as much development time. Let me remind you that Carson Wentz came from the same school, and no one thought he'd be ready right away. He was the "tools" pick. He beat out Sam...

49ers Mac Jones Bombshell: Joel Klatt says Mac Jones was the original choice for SF.

Ok, so you trust an unnamed source that some dipsh!t on tv claims to know over the actual guy himself? You're free to speculate, but let's call that what it is.

49ers Mac Jones Bombshell: Joel Klatt says Mac Jones was the original choice for SF.

He's not raw. He ran the most pro style offense. He did the most under center. He ran the most play action. He called protections. He had full field reads. He started the exact same number of games as Mac Jones. He played in big games (FCS championship) and won his league's Heisman (the Walter...
