I Guess Jack Jones Did OK

Vegas is the worst place JJ could have ended up. It's a horrible place for a young player. Especially this young player. Remember the two first round picks who lost blew up a few years back? Bad influences everywhere around you in Vegas.

Dan Shaughnessy: Biggest douche bag of them all?

Last year I thought they were fixed in 2022... Cole Strange looked OK, The Jones looked like steals, the RB's would be ok, Zappe was an NFL backup, maybe Thornton would be better year 2.............. I also thought they were fixed in 2021... Mac Jones was the best of all the QB's taken, what a...

Mike Lombardi Thinks Belichick Could Go Elsewhere, Status Beyond Sunday in Question?

What about the Bears? They have some draft picks and don't look far from being a good NFC team.

    can we all agree

The field goal kicker looks potentially good to me too. Nice kickoffs. He hasn't missed since Dallas. A little shaky to begin, but really has settled in.

WaPo: "Bill Belichick is unchanged, at the peak of his dynasty and at its end"

I'm not really sure what you mean. Bill recognized Kosar's declining skills, implemented the offense he wanted, and the team won 11 games (Browns have not won more games in a season since) plus a playoff game. Bernie played for two more teams, and never won a game again. What exactly is your...

WaPo: "Bill Belichick is unchanged, at the peak of his dynasty and at its end"

Have you looked at the numbers? https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/K/KosaBe00.htm There was no system Kosar could run at that point.

And the management infrastructure he left there presided over multiple Super Bowl wins for the franchise.

WaPo: "Bill Belichick is unchanged, at the peak of his dynasty and at its end"

How is Kosar's dissatisfaction relevant to anything? The Browns went on to have success, with Kosar's replacement, Vinnie T., actually winning a playoff game for them. What happened to Bernie after this? Did he ever win another game for any team? Bellichick's choice went on to lead multiple...

WaPo: "Bill Belichick is unchanged, at the peak of his dynasty and at its end"

The first time I have ever disliked a post because your Cleveland take is mostly fiction.

    OT: Josh McDaniels Fired

They went 10-7 and lost in OT in the playoffs the year before McDaniels arrived. Still a ridiculously quick firing.

    OT: Josh McDaniels Fired

I wonder if signing Chandler Jones didn't hurt too. The rap on Jimmy = injuries. Chandler = mental issues. After committing to both, where are they now?

    Kontra vs Pape

This is a ridiculous comment. Like a woman asks for it when she wears something inviting? Are you saying Kondra is not an adult capable of regulating himself???

    Kontra vs Pape

    Losing football.

    Kontra vs Pape

Pape - sorry for your loss. I wish nobody was banned and this could be turned back, but it's partly a result of losing football. These fights should only occur during the off season. I bet there was not this degree of in-season wife mudslinging during the Brady years.

Interesting how neither group included the previous year's second round pick.

That's my point. He needs better than him players around. That's what a #3/4 WR is.

News Article: Patriots Appear to Be Making Tough Decisions on Two Starting WRs - by Ian Logue

How many yards does a 3/4 WR get in a season? They go off a few games, get 30-50 yards sometimes, and the rest are performances like that. Last year 31/539. That's a 3/4. When Bill had Randy Moss many games were like that.

News Article: Patriots Appear to Be Making Tough Decisions on Two Starting WRs - by Ian Logue

Parker can be a solid #3/4 WR, and he's paid to fit that role, so I see no problem with him. He would do well against opponents 4th corner. The issue is if Parker is your best receiver. Juju's another story. The contract is a complete waste, and we're stuck with it next year too.
