I just think all the chips are in place for them. Thoughts? opinions?

To win their division? I agree. SB? Nope.

Really I think having a bunch of stars is less effective than having cohesive teamwork. We'll have a good sense of that truth pretty soon, though.

I'd be all for seeing a Cowboys/Patriots superbowl.

Re: OT: I have a feeling that this is The Cowboys year

Too much Jessica, too little testosterone.

I'm serious.

In Texas we say "big hat, no cattle." That's the Cowboys.

Peter King says its the Cowboys year to get to the Super Bowl . . . and lose to the Pats.

Re: OT: I have a feeling that this is The Cowboys year

I can't live in a world where Wade Philips coaches a team to the Super Bowl.

Seriously though, Dallas did well last year due to all of Parcells players and assistants. The longer Wade hangs around, the worse they will get. And I think Jerry Jones relizes this.

I agree Wade is a doofus. But his OC Jason Garrett(sp), that kid is good. He was born and bred to be a football coach. Much like our own grey Hooded overlord.

Imagine a Super Bowl showdown between Wade Phillips and Norv Turner. It would be enough to make a guy give up on football.

I don't think it will be. I think Eagles will win NFC East and Cowboys will be a wild card team and probably lose in the 1st Rd.

If You have watched any of The HBO Show featuring The Cowboys ,You would know that they have no chance.Too many egos and a very disfunctional family.

Wade Phillips is a lame duck HC. He knows if he doesn't get his team to the Super Bowl, he is fired. Too many head cases on the team too - TO, Crayton, Pacman, their rookie TE, etc.

I think the Cowboys may get to the Super Bowl in a weak NFC, but I don't think they are better than a healthy Patriots, Chargers, or Colts.

I do think if they hit a rough streak of losses, that team will literally explode. The personality mix between the HC and players is perfect for a major meltdown.

Re: OT: I have a feeling that this is The Cowboys year

The Cowboys are like the Yankees; too much star power, not enough team. It doesn't help that they have a bonehead coach who lets the players do whatever they want, and a QB who has never won a playoff game.

Yeah, they do seem like they can be out of control, but it could be the editing. Although that rookie TE they got is the biggest imature baby I have ever seen. When he refused to listen to his coach and tuck in his jersey because everyone else had his jersey hanging out was embarrassing brilliance.

Re: OT: I have a feeling that this is The Cowboys year

I watched Hard Knocks last year, when they followed the Chiefs. I was not impressed with Herm Edwards, and it was obvious that they didn't have a quarterback.

In watching the Cowboys on Hard Knocks this year, I'm not impressed with anyone on their coaching staff, except maybe Jason Garrett. I also don't see any signs of veteran leadership on that team. That team will self-destruct this year at the first sign of adversity.

Re: OT: I have a feeling that this is The Cowboys year

Good luck getting out of that division healthy. Those six intra-division games will all be super tough, and I think anyone could take that division. I just don't see anyone coming out of that division with enough gas in the tank to win the superbowl.

Re: OT: I have a feeling that this is The Cowboys year

I get the feeling they want those guys to play neighbourhood football in the NFL. And that will result in injuries. Not like half of them won't enter the season with broken arms from patting themselves on the back.

Ummm The Eagles really have nothing special at WR,Can't see them winning the division - Maybe a wild card at best

Washington is the sleeper in that division - DO NOT throw out the Skins

Two words......WADE PHILLIPS

Re: OT: I have a feeling that this is The Cowboys year

Even with Wade Phillips, who in the NFC is poised to challenge them?

New Orleans is the team most likely to give them fits - That my pick for the NFCCG Dallas vs. New Orleans

The Saints ,on paper look to have an unstoppable offense and the defense has been definately improved

I also like Sean Peyton as a HC - He seems to be a guy the players would try very hard to please

I dunno. I can't shake the image of that N.O o-line getting rolled through like human turnstiles last season on MNF vs. Tenny. Dallas has a very big (strong) D-line, that just added a motivated Tank Johnson to it.

I agree completely. The only guys on the Cowboys who seem like leaders are Greg Ellis and DeMarcus Ware.

Tank Johnson, TO, Pacman? Yuck. They might be good players, but no one on the team or coaching staff has the guts to put these guys in line.

Dave Campo is the biggest joke on Hard Knocks. Players seem to have no respect for him. Jerry Jones undermines any authority that Wade Phillips has. Nah, not the Cowboys this year.
