Season ticket holder since 86.
Can't wait for the season.

Pats Fan, but more importantly PR guy from Comcast SportsNet (full disclosure here).

We are running a Pats training camp show, Pats Camp Report 2008, this week at 7:30 and I am looking for feedback. It's hosted by Michael Felger with analysis from Christian Fauria.

Do you have thoughts on the on-air talent, good or bad?
Is your fandome so serious that you will dedicate a half hour on the practice (not a gam), practice?

Welcome to the board!

I copied your post over and started a thread on the main forum -- you'll have better luck getting responses (although I predict that you may not like them all!)

hello all

swedish pats fan, following the team since the mid 90's
been lurking on the boards since last training camp
love that football season is upon us once more

Thanks I will check that main thread out.

Hey folks, TrueBeliever here. I'm another refugee from PatriotsPlanet, and you may have run across me on a few other boards (I also went by the name DrewBeliever years back), but now I've decided to make PatsFans my new home.

Vital stats: Believe it or not, I live in Wisconsin. Have my whole life. What about the Packers, you say? What about them? Long story short: in early 1995 I decided to have a "second favorite" team to root for, and I chose the New England Patriots. A few years later, I dropped the Packers altogether and the Pats have been my No. 1 team ever since.

Ironically, the first NFL game I ever went to was a preseason game between the Patriots and the Packers in Green Bay in 1986. (The Patriots won that one.) The first NFL regular season game I attended was the Pats at the Vikings in 1997.

Wow, huh?

Looks like I registered here about a year ago and forgot. Now I'm here and ready to start posting.

FOOTBALL TONIGHT!

Lifelong Patriot fan here to explore what looks like a really great place to talk Pats Football.
I'll have more to add after I explore a bit.

To ALL:

How's Everyone doing this fine New England Sunday... Me, Not So Well (I know, inauspicious beginning)... I have Posted on the Boston.com Messageboard for 4 or 5 years Now... That is, I suppose, until the Last couple of Days... 2 Days Ago, Life was going good for Laz, per usual, until a New Troll apparently replied very derisively to a Post in a Thread I started... Now, I feel childish and even trite for telling You ALL this (heck, I don't even know if ANYONE's listening, but I'm goin' on anyway-throwin' out a hail mary here)... Anyway, said Troll said some trully derogatory remarks in his Post, ending with something akin to, "This is why the Mods keep kicking you Off this Site." Now, IF ya know me, You definately know that I don't have any problems verbally beating a Troll to the proverbial curb in prose, Yet, the Mod inference, took me aback, for this was ALL news to me... I have (or had...yet) been going on the Site for 5 years (sic) and Never EVER had been bounced off... Yet, suddenly, When I tried to respond, within the Past Couple days in order to defend my name and this awful untruth, I've had ENTIRE Messages deleted, parts of Messages deleted, and when I DO get through, It's been a 3 Hour waiting miracle for my Post to come up... EVERYTHING got out of hand, and suddenly I found myself without a Home for the thing I enjoy more than ANYTHING on this planet, that is, talking about MY New England Patriots (notice the possesive 'article': I love 'em...they're MINE...lol)

Look ALL, I don't want to either get off on the wrong foot (like a North American soccer player-sorry, someone once said, "Good Poets use Bad Puns") NOR Do I want to sound like some pathetic whiner... But, if one thing, I'm truthful, honest, and forthcoming, So in that sense, well, the Translation means, I'm hurtin'...bad. I know I could sign back on with Another Moniker, but...I Won't... I'm Kinda hard-headed like that, and Now that I've hardened my heart on this issue, I refuse to be bullied around by 1 person influencing a couple of very easily manipulated Moderators that don't know ALL that I gave Boston.com over the years, and How MUCH I trully care(d) about talking the Pats with my buddies there (teardrop)... Alright, this IS WHERE the Whining ends, Promise...

In ALL, Perhaps this is the way fortuity works... The odd and mercurial occurences of chance are strange in the sense that they start makin' sense, and ya wonder, 'Do things happen for a Reason', and further 'Is there a Design to it ALL?' Yea, I was an English and Philosophy/Linguistics dbl Major (stop laughing...I mean it lol) at UConn... You're probably sayin', "Thanx for obvious Laz, Do You have any more 'hot-tips? Don't look Directly into the Sun, perchance? (just saying that I'm sure ya could tell by the previous go-nowhere cryptic quote of mine? lol)"...

Anyway, that's a 2 minute History of the Past 2 Days... Gotta know, 'ANYONE out there in cyber-space showin' a lil' Love for a fellow Pat-Fan, OR Am I dancin' ALL by myself now... In ALL, I'd like to feel Welcome here, and I Promise that I'll do my best to #1 Give great insight on the Patriots, #2 Be a nice, nice person (except to Trolls, which I promise again, You'll LOVE to see how and where I get those creative juices flowing when someone is bad-mouthin' Our Babies (that would be 'the Patriots' that I'm talkin' about for the slower Colt's Fans to catch up with me here)... AND #3 I ABSOLUTELY Promise that I'll use ALL my creative instincts to amuse in a good, positive and very entertaining manner (for those English Majors out there, I'm a cross-breed of Kurt Vonnegut, Franz Kafka, and Editorialist David Berry meets the Pats (which makes for a very UGLY child (@ 32 I wanna be forever young), with a good high jump))...

If Anything, or ANY Response, I Would really like to know very simply, 'How ya guys like it here?' I already Love the Layout...

So, I don't know, again-Hail Mary...Here goes nothin'...

Thoughts ANYONE?

TrueBeliever and ALL:

First, True, Did a whole Post Thanking You, doubt ya got it, 'cause it said at the end I couldn't PM until 15 Posts (I Think)... So just wanted to Thank You (again) for the kind words...

p.s. Love the juxtaposition of quotes-Admiral Yamamoto and Our Pats...genius (note: I've been known to spray the word 'genius' around the room)

Everyone:

Some Questions: First, Am I adhering to correct decorum by just throwing this out here? Second, Do I just jump into an exisiting Thread, no Questions Asked (too Presumptious?)? Third, Has Anyone yet likened this Format to that of a Ferrari, sheez, I'm afraid to touch any of the Controls (Is there some sort of a booster seat that ya guys wanna warn me about? If Someone responds it'll prove to me I didn't nudge the cloaking device?)?

Hi all, newbie here from boston.com(they downgraded to an all time worst again), this site is a bit more complex but i think much better once i break it in. I have been a Patriots diehard for almost 35 years, ever since Ben Dreith made me want to kill at a young age. I live 45 minutes North of Foxboro and i was at Patriots Place http://www.patriot-place.com/ last month. What a place this is going to be. Can't wait until the Patriots HOF opens up!:D

Hi there everyone. I'm an American/Irish Pat's fan living in Belfast (in Northern Ireland). My dad's from New England so I followed his allegiance to the Pats and Sox. I've even managed to convert my Irish wife! looking forward to the new season.
