What would be big?

I don't know which ones bigger and I don't care. All I care about is the fact that Boston will own all 3 major sports championships by the end of this basketball season.

I don't know about that yet. I think they've got as good a chance as any coming out of the East.

They'll get their first big test against the good West teams (if you don't count the Lakers) tonight. Unfortunately, they'll probably do it without KG and Allen.

I like their chances, but I'm not going to state it as definitively as you did.

I am kind of relieved to Celtics recent running. It's hight time coming.

It was a great feeling when Red Sox mini-comback started again with a grandslam from J.D.

This two weeks feels like the longest ever....phew...

While pats all confident going into the final day, Celtics still has a lot of work to do I think.

It hadn't been done before because great teams don't lose the first three games.

The Sox' comeback from 0-3 had never been done before - by anyone. As the fan with the poster implored them in game 4 of that series, "Make history or we're history!", and that is indeed what they did.

Credit where credit due, huh?

Here's another perspective. From 1902 until the late 40's with the advent of the NBA, the Red Sox were the only game in town and it's what your grandfathers and fathers lived and most likely, died for/with. The Celtics were THE franchise in the late 50's until the 80's but still were outdrawn by the Bruins.
The Red Sox for all their current success trace it back to 1967. Prior to that, they were doormats who didn't draw fans. When Yaz and Lonborg turned around a team, they had a region fall in love with them, despite all the game 7 failings that followed. To this day 40 plus years later, the Sox have been in the hearts of New Englanders, not just Bostonians.
The Patriots pre-Kraft and pretty much until 2001, were the Red Sox pre-1967 with some success but not at the level of today. Since 2001, it's been a perfect storm of success for both the Red Sox and Patriots. I hope that forty years out, New Englanders will look at 2001 the way Red Sox fans look at 1967,as the start of a great run........
Just my $0.02,
Thanks for reminding everyone that the romance with baseball only goes back to 1967. The Braves left town in the early 50s because of no support and the Sox had difficulty reaching 1 million in attendance in the 50s and first half of the 60s. I even remember reading a few articles speculating that the Sox might follow the path of the Braves.

As for 19-0 (if they do it) never being duplicated - Look at next year's schedule and consider that the Pats have won 19 regular season games in a row TWICE in the past few years. It certainly isn't likely, but I'd say there is maybe a one in twenty chance of the Patriots (and no one else) doing it again next year.
