Redskins sexist?

The Patriots have the same policy. They also have a policy that some people have to stay 100 feet away from the cheerleaders. It's not fair, I didn't do anything wrong.

Who are you trying to kid? You're known to them as the guy who moderates The Ladies Lounge on Patsfans. Translated: gawking stalker waiting to happen. :D

Also case law has said that the right to marry who you want is a fundamental right who you want that can be dictated by others. For example a man wrote in his will that his son was to receive a sizable portion of the his estate if he married a Jewish women, but if he did not marry or married outside the faith the estate was to go to Israel. The son married a shicksta yet the court found the will provision to be against public policy and gave the son the money.

If you're referring to Shapira v Union National Bank, I don't think that that was the court's holding. That court upheld the testator's wishes on the grounds that the father's purpose wasn't a negative one but rather to encourage his son to carry on the Jewish faith. The court wanted to honor the father's intention which is usually the court's hlding unless against public policy.

You can't bargain away civil rights, including equal treatment, via a contract. Of course you can sign anything, but later you might be able to persuade a judge that certain sections of the contract are unconsciencious or contrary to law, and they may be struck down as unenforcable.
does the Military allow members to marry? just wondering..I don't think they are allowed to so is that a way out...get hitched

Why be the star athlete if you can get the hot cheerleader???

besides the money.
you can not date your teams cheerleader, I do not think dating teh opposition is part of the equation...so teams hire siphyllis full chicks to IR the other team

Wasn't really talking about that but yeah, I see where you're coming from.

EDIT: To add on to this, I prefer Wing House girls.
It was a joke about the hooters based on rumors of how many athletes end up dating and marrying them

Yes, the military does allow members of the opposite sex to marry, whether or not they're both in the service. Not sure if that applies if one of the members is enlisted while the other is commissioned. If you want a quick out, just make a pass at your same-sex CO. :)

Pujo for your point to be correct, it would have to happen that first, the team hired a male cheerleader as well, second, a player had a relationship with that male cheerleader, and third, said male cheerleader was not fired. That would be sexist. But just saying a cheerleader cannot date a player is not sexist because you are not discriminating because of sex, you are discriminating because one employee has a relationship with another. Nothing in that statement inherently applies to gender, just the role of the employee.

Although it is often okay to discriminate based on job type, there is one huge exception, when you discriminate in the hiring of that job type.

It is okay to have different policies for management and clerical employees. BUT if 95% of the management employees are male and 90% of your clerical employees are female, a court probably going to find that there is de facto sex discrimination in the policies.

Here we have 100% of the cheerleaders being female and 100% of players being male. Furthermore 100% of the coaches are male. And in the case of the Patriots there is a history of discrimination in the treatment of female reporters.

With players it is not the team's fault. There are simply no qualified females to be hired.

However, most teams claim they hire women cheerleaders on the basis of dance skills not looks. There are plenty of skilled male dancers with outstanding skills and college cheerleading experience.

The argument that coaches are male because many coaches are former players doesn't hold water because, last years COY never played a down in either the NFL nor college.

Opps your right, I completed got the holding backwards. How the hell did I manage to get the "bluebook award" in wills?

I wonder if any team has ever hired hookers and sent them to the opposing teams hotel the night before a game to distract the players.

Would make a much better scandal than spygate.

Lawrence Taylor alleged in his autobiography that he did that to opposing teams...

As for cheerleaders dating, IIRC there was a team down south that had a problem with their cheerleaders....'dating' each other in the rest room of a bar..............

Nooooooooooooooo...you mean this is a pipe dream?

It's dangerous (yet comical) when people with no legal background state things with such certainty despite being so very wrong. If you do have a legal background, then the school you graduated from should lose its accreditation.
