Belichick didn't address the Superbowl on the "Big Show" today

So the fact that you have hours of idle time to spend running up your post count somehow makes you an expert on anything? "Rookie"...lol...maybe someday I'll attain veteran status...dare I dream?

You can't help the fact that you're a rook, we all had to go through it. Doesn't make you any "less" meaningful, it just means we can give you crap for it!

There's not much left for me to say.

You've basically admitted that you can't think of a question Belichick would answer satisfactorily. You know as well as I do that there's no point in asking the question.

I just find it funny that you're insulting people for being 'homers' and 'ball-washers', even though you actually agree with them. You're just too dense to realize it.

See unlike you self professed experts on all things Belichick I don't profess to be an interviewer or know everything he is thinking. Is it unreasonable to believe that the folks who interview BB on a regualr basis or the ex- pros on the show could have posed a question that I did not think of?

As far as the dense comment the fact that you can not differentiate between my point about asking a SB question and my agreement about BB's greatness speaks for itself.

You did not address my comment;

Buddy, I know for a fact BB wouldn't cumble from direct questions regarding the SB. That was NOT my point. My point is, some idiots would like to put him on the hot seat & squirm. I'm not saying he would. The fact is, he would just refuse to engage in the conversion.

But my point is, why on earth would anyone want to see him squirm? Why do some idiots want him to be mightily humbled?

I'll tell you why...because some people can't stand him. and to them I say,

TOUGH SHYTTY!!

So what do you have to say about the idiots I refer to above? Because all the Belichik fans I know like when he refuses to give in to the media's demands. That is what makes him the one & only Bill Belichik!

So now the "stupid jerks" who "softball" Bill Belichick are supposed to be intelligent enough to come up with questions about the Super Bowl that he will answer?

Even though you admit you don't have the intelligence to come up with any?

There's obviously a disconnect here. You obviously don't listen to interviews with Belichick often. The reasons why asking these questions of him would be useless has been spelled out pretty clearly, yet you still are unable to grasp the concept. The questions have even been posed to him, with the predicted reaction, and linked in the thread. I'm assuming you ignored that, too.

When it comes down to it, you think Belichick owes you a non-answer to a question you can't think of. What's the point?

What's with the quotations? I never said either of those things...

Ah yes back to the intelligence digs; I am truly not worthy of your pompous observations...forgive me.

My point (once again) was that it would've been no big deal if a SB related question was asked- it wasn't about his response or lack thereof

When it comes down to it, you think Belichick owes you a non-answer to a question you can't think of. What's the point?

Please quote the part where I said that BB owes me an explanation about anything? I have ZERO problem with BB and the SB but once again that was not my point. I am pointing out that the OP was needlessly castigated for his opnion about wanting to hear a SB related question or two. My interest in his answer (or lack thereof) does not mean anything other than genuine curiosity.

If the PArs had won the SB BB would not have discussed it. The answer would be that was last season we have moved on, any Pats fan know this.

And this is the major disconnect. I just don't understand why someone would be enough of a fan of the team to want to post on a message board devoted to it, yet be unwilling to learn the most consistent character trait of our head coach.

Brick, what about my point that you continually fail to address. Once again, the point is that those idiots who "like or want" to try to put BB on the hot seat have no right to do that.

They are REALLY asking questions to feed their own ego's. And no one in the media deserves to have their ego's fed since they're not important.

So YES, it WOULD be a big deal if one of these idiots asked a question "if" that was their motive. People like that don't deserve to be employed in the media.

ANSWER PLEASE

BB is the best HC in ithe NFL...by far. Having said that who decides "who has the right" to ask him a question?

Is the majority of the media headline driven- yes. Are you of the opinion BB should never be asked about anything that may possibly be uncomfortable for him to answer? In addition to being a football genius the guy is also media saavy...he can handle it, he doesn't need you to defend his honor. You sound like an infatuated school kid.

So YES, it WOULD be a big deal if one of these idiots asked a question "if" that was their motive. People like that don't deserve to be employed in the media.

While I think you are being a bit melodramatic I respect your opinion. Having said that its their job to ask pointed questions not give gushing plaudits...thats the fan's role.

ANSWER PLEASE

Satisfied now?

On a side note...its strange answering you because "PatriotReign" is my screen name on JetsInsider. I have over 3000 posts trying to interject some reality into their emerald circle jerks. Whatever you guys hurl at me is nothing compared to the NY venom that they spew.:D

tobias...I have repeatedly conceded that if asked about the SB that BB would've given one of his patented responses. Everyone knows how BB deals with the media- you don't have to be a Pats fan to know that. I don't think it would've been a big deal if someone asked him about it toward the end of the interview. I just don't understand why people got all flustered over the prospect that BB may have been posed a SB related question.

It's clear we're looking at this issue through different prisms, we'll respectfully agree to disagree.

Re: Belichick didn\'t address the Superbowl on the \"Big Show\" today

I suggest you read up on the 1st amendment. No where there does it say you are entitled to respect for your opinion. In fact, all I have seen is people offering THEIR opinions on Voodooz's opinion. They are entitled to do that as well. OH, and no where in the 1st amendment does it say that you are free from the responses you get for voicing your opinion.

LMAO! The first ammendment doesn't apply to message boards. On a message board, the terms of service are the only thing you need to abide by. I never thought I would have seen someone bring up the first ammendment on a forum. Good stuff, man, good stuff.

The simple fact is BB is "Unaccountable". He is allowed by Mr. Kraft and the fan base to not explain himself when he makes big mistakes.

During Spy Gate he said he would address the issue after the Commissioner did his investigation. When the Commissioner finished his investigation BB told us he had moved on. After the biggest debacle in NFL SB history what real break down did we get from him?

BB would have been a great CEO for Enron. Company collapses; employees lose jobs, vendors out millions, share holders out billions and retires lose their pensions. BB goes to the podium, the media asks "What Happened", BB responds "I've moved on"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Belichick addressed spygate at the NFL meetings in April. Just because you don't like his answers doesn't make him a liar.

I agree on one point though, he definitely isn't paid to be accountable to us. Comparing what he did to what Ken Lay did? Pretty stupid, kid.

In BB's defense, if you were asked to explain the biggest F-up in your profession, you'd probably be quiet too.

WOW, you people are still arguing about this. I look forward to when the seaons starts and these types of threads die a fast death !

this thread is much ado about nothing.

more than likely BB had a pre-interview agreement that he wouldn't talk about the SB (as a precondition of the interview). Since as many said this is the regularly scheduled post-draft interview.

I would think there would be some interesting questions to pose that could still be draft related:

'how much of this year's draft strategy was driven by the weaknesses exposed in last year's SB as well as the AFCCG 2 years ago?'

I think anybody who has been a fan since before the BB era recognizes what we have in BB. ' a football genius who values his privacy and secrecy over the fans "right to know" or the media's "right to access".

You have to take the bad with the good. Sure, it would be cool to have a coach with his own tv talk show on wed nights you could call in and rap with.

How many want to trade Lombardi # 2 and 3 for that access???????????

HA! Not me! I was a fan through too many losing seasons not to appreciate what we have in BB.

Those people who smirk about drinking Kool-AId have simply not suffered through year after year of losing. Anyone who lived through that can see what we have and know why we have it.

You ain't seen nothin' yet. Wait until May and June. :(

And this kind of shows you how little you know about the patriots. They take one game at a time and what is past is past. They don't live in the future, and they don't live in the past. I still am amazed that so many "fans" haven't picked up on this in the past 8 years.

The off season is different. How do you know what you need to work on for the future if you don't carefully examine the previous season?

This temporal solipsism can be taken way too far. Even BB discusses the times during the year when he looks back, forward, when it is more important to focus just on the next game.

This isn't one of those times.

I know I hate hearing about the SB, especially the final drive of the G's (the Great Escape, the Head Catch), but it ain't because of any noble principles. It's because it freaking sucks thinking about it.
