I LOVE this move from a Patriots fans perspective! This just means a defensive player will slide down at least one spot. More options for us! :)

Why would they do that?
It's just what they do. When Houston had Mario Williams signed before the draft they took at least 10 minutes IIRC.

Has to be for the endorsement contracts then. No?

Miami's offensive line just vastly improved. I can't see a 6'7" 300 lb. beast being a bust on the offensive line. Parcells has the right idea. There is no QB in this draft worth the number one pick. The second round and Brian Brohm is the safest route to go for that.

How about 6-7 325 in Robert Gallery?

Eh, my point was more about Jake Long being a beast than his size. His size was just something I threw in for emphasis.

I'd like to introduce you to Tony Mandrich...not saying he is him but you get my point

That a strong, safe pic for Miami. Good for them.

I didn't realise the time to judge the success of a draft pick was after one season.

Yes, it's exactly the correct time to judge the success of a draft pick.

it's ok, everyone makes mistakes.

OT: just a joke about a poster's signature

"The funny thing about Karma is that it always tends to get you when you least expect it..." - Welker 83's signature

Don't worry about Karma. It'll get what's coming for it.

Sorry, I had too.:D

Oh, all I can think of is defenders drop. Does this start the run on tackles?:D

I don't think that their O line has "vastly improved".......not do I think that this is a "safe pick".........nor do I think that the front office has "improved..........I do not think this YET......until this guy plays at least a season.....NO ONE KNOWS how this pick will turn out....You have to remember also that this guy did have some struggles against TOP level competition........Once he has played a full season.....we will know how well they did with this pick........Look at Chad Jackson for an example....every mediot in the country raved about our ability to pick this kid up where we got him....and everyone picked him to be THE NEXT GREAT WR.......how's that working out so far? Don't get me wrong.....I sincerely hope that CJ has a tremendous, breakout year this year........watched him alot in Gatorville and the kid had great talents there.......just hope he can bring it to the big time consistently......just as the doofins are hoping the same with Jake.......time will tell....
