I am going to watch this situation carefully - I am curious to see whether the 49ers end up regretting their decision.

Wasn't Woods touted as THE most NFL-ready receiver coming out of college in the 2004 draft?

re

Well it's hard to do well as a receiver when ALEX SMITH is the quarterback.

Woods is a bust.

The problem with Woods is not the potential. It's the desire to play.

He had a great career in college playing againt mis-matched DBs and he runs a fantastic fade route, but that isn't going to cut it on Sundays. I thought he would be wildly successful coming out college, but alas, what's done is done.

Who does SF have currently at WR? is Arnaz Battle their #1 right now?

I'm shocked to see a Sooner trashing a Cowboy. It's what Gooners do best. :p

Handel is absolutely correct on this one. I've always said that he would rather be on the Bassmasters Tour than playing in the NFL. Now if you want Rashaun's talent and abilities, but you want a player than wants to suceed in the NFL, then you draft his brother D'Juan Woods next year.

Read the post. I said he had a great college career (often playing against mismatched DBs, but that is common in college and a compliment to him) and I thought he would be wildly successful in the NFL.

I guess your little OSU inferiority/conspiracy theory complex prevented you from reading that part of the post.

I couldn't care less about where he went to college. The fact is, he has not been successful in the NFL. Period. End of story.

:D Relax my ZeroU friend. Rivalries are supposed to be fun. Did you not notice the smiley at the end of that? Anyways, I read both of your posts, and you left out the fact that you said "he runs a fantastic fade route, but that isn't going to cut it on Sundays". This is what I was refering to, as well as the "he's a bust". He has been having injury problems (something that didn't happen at OSU), and he has had the 'future HOFers' Dorsey, Smith, and Rattay throwing to him when he has been healthy. I think those two factors are why he has stuggled, not that his fade route won't cut it on Sundays. You were suggesting that he's a bust because he can't cut it. I believe that to be totally inaccurate.

And hell yes I have an inferiority complex :bricks: . That's why I understand Boston sports so well. :D

ridiculous

thats kind of a ridiculous thing to say about smith considering the guy has been in the league for one year and plays on one of the least talented teams in the league. The verdict is still out on smith, give the guy a chance.
