Anyone got a pic of Seymour being held on the almost Eli sack in 4th?

Some of you guys are seriously blaming the loss on a no call holding penalty in the middle of the pocket as it was collapsing around Eli and 3 Patriots were hanging off his jersey? That is why you lost?

Maybe if you get your head out of your ass and watch the replay you will see what is going on.

O'Hara's hand is underneath Seymour's facemask and he pulls Seymour's head. What was he holding onto that he could get enough leverage to move his head at all?

Could you explain it again please? I'm not getting it.

I'm trying really, really hard not to troll. But there sure is a lot of whining going on in here. Maybe us Charger fans are finally rubbing off on you?

Is it that hard to believe the Giants just outplayed you and deserved to win?

Re: Why will no one say it? Patriots lost the game because

Honestly, that is the one bad no call I saw from this game.
On one of the Pats' drives that started from their own 11 or so, Brady dropped back to pass and was clearly slapped on the helmet by one of the Giants. Probably had no impact on the game but it was a bad non-call.

When it is the biggest play of the game yes......and not just holding it is holding of two players and/or facemask of two players.

Why is it ok to the league that the colts complained about holding nd got the rules changed but we fans can't piss and moan....its what you do when you lose. and When you win you try to justify the non-calls to make your win more legit.

It is easier to hang onto a jersey when you are not being pulled in the opposite direction.

But bottom line is Refs are human and they will srew up.....Despite their screw up you still had plenty of chances to win the game and our own players screwed that up too.

DAMN IT!!!!!

"and/or facemask of two players"

Got a picture on that one?

The holding on that play has already reached legendary status in Patriots nation, but the tapes don't back it up...

If I could somehow get it off my DVR and onto my computer I could make screen caps.

Honestly, that is the one bad no call I saw from this game. And it lead to no points.

If you want to hang your hat on 'we would've won if the ref had just called that PI on Toomer in the 1st half,' have at it.

I'm not saying that at all. Whether it lead to points or not, it's called a change in field position. I think this was something like a 30 yard pass. It caused a major change in field position, which in a game that was this tightly contested, means alot.

Dude, I'm begging you, you sound like a friggin 5 year old.

The Pats lost. The Giants BEAT them.

On Sunday February 3rd the Giants were the better team.

You really need to let this go, it's unbecoming to continue to whine about missed calls/no whistles/blah blah blah.

Asante could make a pic
Harrison could make a pic
Woods could man up and hold onto a ball in a pile that he had both arms around.
BB could send Gostkowski out for a field goal rather than going for it on 4th and 13.
Are these things Mike Carey's fault?

How about the GREAT call they made on the illegal bat? That's not an easy call to make in the heat of the battle, and that flag was RIGHT OUT. Otherwise the Giants have a first down.

Are you kidding me? You want us to give Carey and crew GREAT CREDIT for calling the illegal forward bat ???????? Dude, that's his job, that was more clearer than anything and it was right in front of his face. No wonder the flag came out as quickly as it did.

Look, the Giants won, I tip my hat to them, they deserved it, they wanted it more than we did, no one can say anything else.

We're simply talking about some clear non calls especially the last non call that truly did have an impact on this game. Think about it. If holding was called as it should have been. You tack on 10 yards and put them back at their own 40 yard line. I'm not even sure what down that was, but also factor in the pass that was completed (30 yards). I mean this game is won if that call is made by Carey, it's simple. Not calling it was enormous, I wouldn't down play it at all. That was a game-changing, history-changing NON-CALL. That's a fact that cannot be disputed.

The refs were good. Yes the holding on that one play was blatant but so what. It was the last minute of the game and games shouldn't be won or lost by a holding call in crunch time.

You want a picture? Get one of Bill Belichick and the coaching staff absolutely blowing that game for us. It was so bad I almost believe it was fixed.
Are you kidding? That's when they should clamp down! The Giants were desperate, they were the ones needing to score. If they really did commit holding on Sey which prevented a hope-of-winning-crippling sack, then this is a huge injustice. But until I should ever see this, I'll presume the refs were consistent here as during the rest of the game. For sanity's sake, that is.

Hockey is pretty bad when it comes to this. Sometiems the refs just stop making ANY calls, because the penalty is severe, losing a man for two minutes.

Keep telling yourself this if it makes you feel better.

"Dude" I couldn't give a crap less what is unbecoming or not.

This piece of shyt play is going to be replayed over and over again until we all jump off a friggin ledge somewhere. It is going to be beaten like a dead horse, "ohh what a wonderful escape by Eli Manning, ohh this is the greatest SB play in history".

I'm not talking about the rest of the game I am talking about this one play.

There were 2 officials looking right in on this play. In one of the replays the official's head is right in front of the camera as he looks in. The Giants held and it was obvious. O'Hara had a good grip on Seymour's facemask. The officials didn't call it because they didn't have the sack to overturn this Eli Manning masturbation fest.

They didn't have any problem calling that bs holding call on Watson earlier in the game though.

Gotta blame it on something. There is no legitimate way the Gints could have won this game...It had to be the refs! What else can we pin this to?

"O'Hara had a good grip on Seymour's facemask."

You keep saying this. The photo evidence contradicts your version.

It's very sad.

DIVINE INTERVENTION GOT US IN THE END.

I said to Mrs Q after that play, sometimes it just is not your day.

February 3, 2008 was not Patriots Day. Just like October 16, 2003 and October 16, 2004 were not Red Sox Days. It ain't no different from any other bad sports days.

Patriot redemption will come.

I guess I would have liked to see if the ball hit the ground (frame 9 of 10 in the NY Daily News) or at least get a booth review.

The real culprits of the game were - poor energy by the O-line, Belichick's passing up a 50 yard FGA, and Assante Samuel's missed INT three plays earlier. Those are what got us busted in the 1st place. It wasn't Patriot's Day after all. 18 and * to be commemorated on the SILVER FRUSTRUM. It is what it is.

and got just a little more luck and a little better "no looks" from the refs

Yup. But I usually factor that in as the Pats go into any game. While mistakes benefit both teams, generally I expect that the Pats are going to get the raw end of that deal.

I think the players know that too - and they know they can't put the refs in a position to decide the game. They need to take care of business themselves.

They did that for 18 games - but not for the most important game. They are human and I'm ok with that... thanks for a great season Patriots!
