Belichick: We're ready to roll.

I remain convinced to this day, that we beat Pittsburgh in their house if Corey Dillon had played that game.
Don't forget Deion Branch. He missed the Halloween game, too.

Regards,
Chris

The OL injuries were bigger factors than Dillon, IMHO.

I think the main reason we are so dominant this season as opposed to 2003/2004 is that we are healthy. If we were healthy those seasons, we are already the best team of all time in most peoples mind.

Of course, Randy Moss didn't hurt either.

I think you're confusing 'best team' with 'best dynasty'.

even 100% healthy, I don't think those Pats teams would put up #'s like the 85 Bears/89 Niners. go look at the PS/PA of those teams, it's decent, but not even close to historically great. those teams weren't nearly as talented - even assuming 100% health - as this team

i wonder who brown would choose if he could only be acquanted with one....

That and the injuries NE suffered in their secondary during that game. Before Ty Law went down NE was pretty much shutting down Hines Ward and others. Ty goes down and the passing game has a little more success. Randall Gay (who came replaced Ty) then goes down, and the Steelers have even more success. Honestly, I've hated that field for a long time, and those bad field conditions were the only reason Ty got injured during that game.

I was wondering since the Pats have one roster spot open ...
and since Belichick likes old, great players ...
and since Belichick has a sense of history (letting Vinny throw that TD pass) ...
and since Jim Brown has never won a SuperBowl ...

good enough for me BB can't you just imagine BB playing out the game in his head pounding out some bon jovi or tom petty?
I bet he's listening to it's good to be king.

I love that BB has such a strong friendship with Brown, and I only wish more people knew about the things BB's done off the field. But, he's not an attention whore, so most people will probably just keep on thinking he's a d*ck.

I could not agree more.

I'd have made a new thread, but the rules changes to avoid the SB flood won't let me post this.

At any rate, there's an article in Saturday's Herald alleging that a Pats employee taped the Rams' final walkthrough before SB 36:

Source: Pats employee taped Rams

If there wasn't enough motivation for turning this into a rout before this, heaven help the NFL as long as Brady and Belichick are playing. Of course, the cynic in me would wonder why the Pats canceled tomorrow's walkthrough. . . .

[Of course, perhaps I'm doing something wrong by using my brain here, but why would the Rams let anyone in the media stick around during their walkthrough? It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.]

Gee, I'm just SO shocked that this stuff keeps coming up within two days before the Super Bowl.

Why all of a sudden with all this ****?
It's pretty f****d up.

You tell them I'm coming, and hell's comin' with me, you hear that?

I am ready to roll as well. I wore my Brady jersey last night for about 2-3 hours and had a number of skirmishes. A girl (Giants fan) who worked in a bar said she hated my shirt and we went at it for a while. Fingers were pointed and it got very loud.
Then an old man started with me at the grocery store. He was a disgruntled Dolphins fan, who is praying that we lose. He was so f'ing bitter about Welker, you would not believe it. "And we got nothing for him, nothing!!!", he kept muttering. I thanked him for Wes, then I got a little animated about the game and Pats/Fins and I think his wife started to get scared, so I backed off. He kept saying "You've had your time, you've had your time!!"

When I went to check out, there was a fairly hot young girl at the register. I was buying 4 different types of sausage and hot dogs for a clam boil and lots of beer. I joked that I probably appeared healthy, since I had all the sausage groups covered. She laughed and said she got off at 7 on Superbowl night and would love to party and watch the commercials. She asked me what team's shirt I was wearing and asked if Pats were in SB. Then she uttered the classic line "Who are you playing? Wait, don't tell me. Is it Michigan?"

Anyways, I will wear my Vrabel today and see what happens.

GO PATS!!!

Damn, I wish people like that would approach me and give me grief on the Pats! I'd just LOVE to stand there and just smile hugely as they ranted. Even the old guy...I'd smile until he was so consumed with anger his wife would be forced to take him away. The smile is the perfect FU expression in the Eff You arsenal!
