Two QB Game plan!!!
I would love to see our game plan include two offensive squads. A team and B team and just mix them into the plays. That should really keep the Patriots on their heels. Use both quarterbacks in different formations with different backfields. It would be the greatest coaching move of all time and we have the talent and personnel to pull it off!

I'd use both qb's at the same time
they throw the ball back and forth --- who do you chase?

will most likely be copied next season, maybe even using 3 or 4 qb's.

I fully endorse that plan. It's so brilliant, how can it fail? Ravens, Redskins, Falcons, get this Goodkol on the phone right now, I think we found the next Bill Walsh.

They could just play rugby:eek:

The rules mandate a line so that leaves 6.
So how about 2 centers at the tackle spots
a QB behind each of them and 4 WR's , 2 on each side.

Hmm... I think I like that idea. Never seen it done. Definitely would be interesting.

I like it, but I feel safer with Rivers playing as much as possible. I still don't have much faith in Volek. But with the wind QB's might not matter.

There is something to be said for rythum, using a 2 QB set up might interfere with that.

But I like the idea, just playing devil's advocate.

Like I said on the other thread, I do like the idea. However I don't know how efficiently it would be pulled off in a game coming up so soon. I would think maybe working on that in the off season for next season would make us a very unique and even more admirable foe to just about any team next year. Can you imagine the mental havoc we could wreak on teams trying to prepare for us? It would get extremely confusing. Not only that, but we have the depth to do it and our starters would get rest during the game when other players come on. This could drive defenses insane. Now, if Norv could get our team very well versed in these plays, executing them perfectly, watch out next season, we could be an even more insane team!

..........

My sides are killing me from laughing on this one.
Now discussing that players can be substituted...baseball/soccer fans...wtf is that???

Football is different. You can always go back in after coming out

It was working well for Arizona until Leinart got hurt.

Okay, we get it.

In all seriousness though, it's not so unprecedented. The Cardinals did the same thing this year, were mocked for it in some circles, but it was largely effective. Leinart would run the offense and then Warner would handle the two-minute offense. I believe they did some more 2-QB gameplans later in the year with Tim Rattay as well.

And I think the poster who asked about guys coming back in was referring to the 3rd QB rule, and was just confused. Just a guess.

We can sub Merriman in at running back and see if anyone even trys to hit him

He's getting all juiced up now ... he's feeling it.

It's a brilliant strategy . . . confuse your opponents, but gives them the chance to sub on every down. I like it. :p

In all seriousness though, LT has thrown for like 8 TDs and it wouldn't surprise me if they did that play against us. It's like the Vrabel play for them, their signature trick play.

Line up Rivers at WR is probably the best strategy

Consider the source; Goodkol has also started a thread on the Chargers forum asking who the Chargers would rather play in the Super Bowl.

Not only was it humerous but it mentions the town I was born in Exeter, NH.:D
