I know it's really early but I love draft stuff so I thought I would take a crack at a mock draft for fun. I didn't include any juniors for some reason.
It's not for any reason, thats just how the mock worked out

This is assuming Samuel, Colvin, Wilson, Harrison and Stallworth are gone.

In my draft the Patriots trade the 7th pick and pick up the 14th/15th in the 1st and 2nd round.

1 - Antoine Cason- CB- Samuel replacement needs to run well to get picked this high, but is a good fit as a smart, ball hawking CB.

2.a - Chris Johnson RB/WR- This may be a little high, but i think his stock goes up after his workouts. He is a Faulk replacement who
can play RB and WR and will be an impact returner. Has a lot of value an is a very exciting player.

2.b - Ezra ButlerLB- Big, fast LB who could play inside or out in the 3-4. Again, a little high, but his stock will go up after workouts.

3.a - Harry Douglas WR - Reminds me of Branch. I think he can do a lot of the things Stallworth did.

3.b - Jonathan Hefney CB/S- Versatile player who i think drops a little bit because he doesn't have a true position right now. He would play in the nickel
to start and eventually would be groomed for CB who could play S in a pinch.

4.- Tommy Blake OLB - I actually think he won't drop this far, but concerns about if he can take the pressure could make this happen. A 4th is well worth it to
take a chance on a guy who could be a monster 3-4 OLB for years to come. He has speed, size and toughness. This guy played RB in high school!

So there it is. Its very early and will probably look nothing like this, but i was bored.

One of the Pats' criteria is "can he take hard coaching". I don't know if Blake would pass that test.

I dont' know if they draft a WR high, as they have so many already.

Crazyeye, who are the Pats trading with in order to get the lower first and the second rounder?

New Orleans and Buffalo have the 14th and 15th pick (i believe) and i never really had a player in mind that they would be trading up for, it was more just for the fun of it

pats could trade down to the 13, 14, 15 slot. I thinkthe Bears and Lions are there and both teams could look for the QB they may want(Ryan, Brohm, woodson,) at 7. It is quite feasible I believe.

Look on a draft value chart and you see that numnber 7 equals 1500points. the number 13-14 plus that slot in round 2 roughly equals 1500 points. I dont think this scenario is far fetched at all.

Also, Baltimore is at 8. Assume they want one of the QBs, Carolina, Detroit, Chicago may try to trade ahead of them. It seems possible.
