Looks like they may need another year.
After getting their asses kicked in the Championship game last year and with it looking that way again, they may realize it's not happening however often they come back.

Is it me or was that an illegal formation or 12 men on the field on LSU's first TD when they 4 WR bunched on one side, one on the side, and a TE go out on the route when he beat Lauranitis(sp?)?

Larry Grant is the man tonight. WTF is Larry Grant?

Maybe OSU will run out of mistakes to make

Apparently not. Missed tackles, too

What the hell was that?

All you need is 7 men on the line. They had the 4 ol and te in front of the qb. They had the other ol and se on the line too making 7. Nowhere in the rule book does it say how wide their splits can be. That 5th ol was 10 yds to the right. But, on the line. Perfectly legal formation. OSU defense too dumb to realize it.

Can someone give me a good reason why Jacob Hester wouldn't make a good Patriot? I've been thinking it for a while but every time I've mentioned it people say "he doesn't fit a mold sizewise, he'll never make it in the NFL". Our #83 makes that statement sound ridiculous imo.

I agree. He'd be a great upgrade over Heath Evans. Dont know what round hes supposed to go. Early round 2?

There are about 10 rb's in this draft better than Hester. D.McFadden, R.Mendenhall, J.Stewart,J.Charles,R.Rice,C.Johnson,F.Jones, M.Hart, Smith kid from UCF, J.Davis. He will be lucky to go before 4th or 5th round. Would be a great pick there though. I'm thinking more of a skatback for us. Don't forget we have S.Morris coming back to pound defenses. Maybe, can get Faulk's replacement. I like J.Charles from Texas and C.Johson - ECU in maybe 3rd round.

Sorry my bad I meant day 2 not round 2. So were on same page for his value. But I disagree on his role as pro. He is def a rb-fb hybrid

LSU 31 - OS - 17 Looks like Mike Holley might be shaving his head tomorrow morning.

Day 2 starts with Round 3 now.

I respect what Hester does but it's tough to see him being more than a JAG. Not big enough to be a legit big back, not agile, quick enough to be a smaller back. He'll be a little better Heath Evans and shouldn't go before Round 5 IMO.

OSU's "brilliant" D could have used old alum Vrabel tonight. At least the Buckeyes allowed fewer points than in last year's championship game.

i thought Jenkins, Grant and Gholston looked good.

i thought Laurinatis was TERRIBLE

Remix, Gholston's game highlights included two or three QB pressures, and that's about it. Considering he was rushing the passer most of the time that's not really good. He wasn't really effective in the other areas of defense. If anything he proved himself more fit for a 1 gap defensive scheme.

Laurinaitis was cought out of position on pass plays a number of times.

lack of speed for Ohio State? LSU just got burned 65 yards by Wells

Certainly looked like lack of speed was an issue for everyone else on OSU.
