Wow...How do you spell "Doghouse"??? as in sleep in one>>>>;)

The Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be on the main course for Thanksgiving Day, the NFL announced during its annual league meetings today at the Hyatt Grand Cypress.

The Dolphins will play at Detroit at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 23, while the Bucs will make the first Thanksgiving appearance in the franchise's 31-season history by taking on Bill Parcells and the Dallas Cowboys at 4:15 p.m.

The NFL Network will televise the first Thanksgiving night game when Denver visits Kansas City at 8.

Overall...speaking as an NFL fan...I like the whole article. Eli vs Peyton will be a great game...especially if the Giants have a good draft...they are very close to moving their way into one of the premier NFC teams.

You mean if you try to watch all three games, you're guaranteed to be in the doghouse? Who's playing?

The wives are going to be thrilled about that.

Why, is Belichick coaching in one of the games? :cool3:

I can enjoy football without BB!

east coast game early, west coast game late. 7:15 for them too.

Fine with me too. It'll save me from dealing with certain family members :D

Great

Great; now if i can just convince the rest of the family (family reunion on turkeyday for us) to move the table in view of the TV, then i am good to go! :rocker:

Boy for a team that wasn't very good last year the Dolphins sure are getting a lot of national play -- the opening game against the Steelers and now the Thanksgiving Day game.

WTF is that all about?

Reaping the fruits of the Belichick coaching tree.....a bit prematurely!

I am thrilled. The more games on Thanksgiving the better especially a game not featuring Dallas or Detroit.

We have Thanksgiving at my sister's house and she has a very nice TV in the kitchen...the whole family loves watching football on Thanksgiving.

Lest we forget...the day starts at around 6 am with massive amounts of alcahol, followed later in the morning by high school rivalries, then dinner, detroit, dallas. No way I'm awake for the night game!

Figuring seventeen weeks and four teams a week, there's 68 opportunities to be on MNF. Add in 17 Sunday night games (17 x 2=34) and IIRC 8 Thursday night games (16 teams), there's a total of 118 opportunities to be prime time.
That averages to about 4 per team. It will be interesting to see how many prime time opportunities the Pats get. Does the league see them at this year's Eagles, prime for a fall? If so, we just figured out this year's BB mantra, " no one respects us, let's prove them wrong."
Couple that with all the pundits falling in love with the Dolphins and their season-ending win streak and you have a backup rallying cry.....
Just my $0.02,
