Unfortunately, players must maintain possession all the way to complete the act! It's a bummer Offense finally came to life, myles Bryant did myles Bryant things as usual, this knocks us out of the playoff picture, the bills soley because of allen will be the most difficult 2 games left.. therefore I have them loosing both!

Toss up against Miami as well. Patriots need to be rooting for any team that plays the jets..

The fundamental problems with this team these last 2 years has been dumb penalties, smart situational football and mental toughness. Talent sure but they've had worse. This was a playoff team last year and has enough to get there again.

Once the HH call went the other way they didn't have a good drive the rest of the game

Once the RIK penalty happened the D folded like a tent and they let MN go right down the field.

That is not good.

I still think Bill is one of the top 5 coaches in the league but what made him the GOAT was minimizing the above through discipline, drills, practice and coaching (coaching the coaches as well).

I am concerned that at 70, he is becoming mortal and it happens to every single coach in their mid/late 60s...Noll, Landry, Shula, Brown, etc.

Or else he brought in the wrong coaches overestimating their capabilities. I believe most of the mess-ups we've seen offensively never would've occurred with McDaniels and an experienced OL coach. BB can't micromanage everything on both sides of the ball. I have no idea about ST coordinator Cameron Achord, special teams have been both good and bad.

This is interesting to ponder:

Mac is a dink and dunker…just like the guy who played here for 20 years. It is what it is.
I knew you'd squeeze in a troll job somewhere along the line. Go back to your pathetic "told you so" quoting of yourself.

Even though Minnesota's D is pedestrian, this was Mac's best game as a pro going on the road against a "good" team later in the year with a winning record and kept up until the end - something that has been a question with Mac since last year. While Parker, Agholor and Meyers had some nice catches, Mac needs a consistent go to guy he can rely on to make plays like Justin Jefferson.

Speaking of Jefferson, how does nobody notice he looks like Antonio Cromartie?

OL had a good game giving Mac nice wide pockets to throw. Run blocking wasn't too great though.

How does nobody notice Cole Strange looks like Nate Solder?

Jon Jones got torched last night. Guys get torched, it happens. Even when the Pats had a "shutdown" CB, they got torched on occasion.

Judon and Wise looked like they had a lot of attention on them last night. Uche had a nice sack late in the game.

Meyers drop late in the game was brutal. You have to make that catch.

Agholor not timing the throw late in the game was tough.

The Hunter Henry TD getting overturned was bad.

Myles Bryant penalty was ticky tack as it's common to see players hit guys on the ground that have given themselves up on the play. NFL needs to be more consistent. With that said, it's a mystery why he keep trotting out on the field.

I'm in the minority and think the Pierre Strong penalty shouldn't have been called. He was going sideways trying to avoid the Punter, but Punters will try to contact players with their long follow throughs to get contact. Strong barely touching him had no bearing on the kick. The Punter tried to do it again later in the game. This type of penalty needs to be eliminated by the NFL.

The Pats face their real nemesis next week which is what we've all been waiting for. I want to see Mac carry over what he did last night against the Bills.

Do you have a readily accessible source for the all-22?
It’s on the NFL App. $4.99/month. I have it but, with two kids under 2, I don’t really have the time to dig in like I used to. I’ll give Thornton a watch though and let you know. Keep in mind that the dude you quoted used to say that Harry was open more than he was given credit for, and he just wasn’t.

Anyway, if you have the time and would like to dig in, it’s worth it. You can go to a specific time, down, and distance in the game.

Home teams - even the Lions! play well on Thanksgiving. The Pats lost against a good team. Could they have one, sure. But they lost. There is no Should in football.

The Pats need to get over this loss, as four of their next six are against qualities teams.

Strange had his best game in about 5 weeks. The entire offense did, but that was pretty expected. To call their D “pedestrian” is an insult to pedestrian defenses. They’re pretty bad. That’s why them shutting us down once they began to sit in Cover-1 and Cover-3 (which are interchangeable looks with a single high safety) is so alarming.

Easy now, I know you're basking in Mac's first great game of the year but Zappe already had at least 11 quarters of football at that level this year.

It's great to see Mac finally play great.

At least 11 quarters?!? The myth making of Bailey Zappe is insane. Zappe was sorta like this against the Browns. Against the Lions he was efficient, but the Pats ran down their throats. He wasn’t asked to do much in that game. He was asked to do even less against the Packers. He had two great drives against the Bears before falling apart.

No wonder you guys love Zappe so much. You have a fantasy view of how he played.

hey..what's up with you roday? can't you see Pork is up to his usual blathering, blithering idiocy? I thought YOU were the board Pork Pesterer...you know, like a horse's ass whisperer...get back to work!

I’d love to see Mac start doing the following in order:

1. Sack the f.uck up.
2. Shut the f.uck up.

It’s real easy to run down and tell a CB to hold your nuts or do a queer dance in the end zone when you score after committing multiple turnovers. Much harder to do it when things are not going your way and you revert to being a crybaby b.itch boy. If something happens like last night where you almost get your head ripped off your shoulders and the refs miss it, yell at them after the play and MOVE ON. This kid gets way, way, WAYYYY too emotional and visibly lets the previous negative play get to him.

The good-to-great QBs in this league get mad after the play, yell who they need to yell at (whether it’s the ref or a teammate), and move on, mentally, to the next play. You’re not doing yourself or your team any good when you have the emotional stability of a pee wee quarterback on the field.

Mac with a little bit of time shows he is uncannily accurate. He can just throw the ball into areas 90% of NFL QBs can't. Reminds me of Drew Brees a little bit.

He's still got bad form and his mechanics are off. I just hope he can work these out of his game.

Having a very accurate QB is an excellent thing to have in the NFL.

His content is s.hitty and repetitive. So I usually just scroll on past his posts now. If he gets some fresher material, I’ll go after him again. Plus, the poor fella probably spent the holiday by himself. He could use a break.

You're saying he was mad at the facemask, which caused him to.... what? The facemask happened long before the drive where the Patriots got down to the 25 with under 2 minutes left.

Could've still tied at that point (heck, if the Hunter TD was called correctly, we'd only need a FG there).

What did he do that told you his anger made him play bad after the facemask?

You didn’t see him screaming at the referees after the next play and then again after the game and having a meltdown that would make an infant proud? This is far from the first time this has happened, either. As @Ian pointed out earlier in the thread, Saban used to call him “McEnroe.”

I thought Jones was fine on all those plays. He was underneath and he did his job.

Unfortunately, we have a problem at FS. McCourty was supposed to be there all 3 times, but was too slow to get there. ALL THREE TIMES.

I guess I didn't. You're talking about him wanting pass interference? I'm not bothered by that. He made the accurate throw. That's executing what he needs to do there.

No, they don't. Surviving the ground was eliminated as a rule in 2018.
That made my head explode. The broadcast booth and officials were not alerted in time, evidently. You sure it didn't come back? They all seemed certain it was a "surviving the ground" call.

There should not be a situation where it was a catch and it became a non-catch after the play was over. (edit - I left out "not" when I wrote this)

McCourty has had that problem a few times this year. He’s lost a half a step. The play recognition and football IQ are still there, but he’s late getting to the ball because his pursuit speed isn’t what it used to be. The one bomb that Jefferson caught in double coverage would have been intercepted by 2020 McCourty. He should probably call it a career after this season.
