I laugh even though I'm at the age where I get dozens of fliers promising me a heavenly life in my golden years. Phu@k that crap...I'll be here bashing the Green Stains until I croak...

You’re thinking of Mark Sanchez. It’s easy to get confused as he was 11 terrible QBs ago.
Was thinking of both Sanchez (teenage girl) and Darnold (mono), but yes, there are so many terrible Jete QBs to pick from, including the current one.

Regarding Jete drafting of quarterbacks: all they care about is someone whose name sells tickets vs. a legitimate team-building component. Woody is in charge of that, which is good for us.
Absolutely. They just have proven after using overall pick #3 on Darnold that they have no idea to develop quarterbacks, so what do they do but go out and use #2 on a development project like Wilson.

That has to be Woody's doing. He wanted to pack the stands with the "Housewives of New Jersey Shore" type women so he drafted a QB that looked like their son's best friends. Some times it's hard to pay attention to the game with all the moaning coming from the stands. The problem is he sucks so bad at being a QB he's not in the game very long. Oh well, that means he can take off his helmet and prance along the sidelines. They don't have to worry about bildos being thrown on the field because they're all in use.

I never got any fliers on living the heavenly life in a retirement village, ive seen them advertized on tv and driven by them. I 've long passed the requirement age to get admission, and sometimes think it would be pretty nice to not have to mow the lawn or rake leaves, clean the gutters or slop the hogs etc. but when i think about places like the Villages i think of all thee people waiting around to die. You watch your neighbors kick one at a time waiting for your number to come up...No thanks, ill watch the jete suckage from my humble abode

Interesting that you mention Sanchez. People forget that for his first 3 years, he was a pretty good QB. The problem was he started at a fairly good level, and then ..... never progressed. That's the thing about the GOOD NFL players is that they the good ones get better for the first 4 or five years they are in the league and then maintain that level, and the GREAT ones keep better for a decade or more.

The latter group is going to be harder to reach, simply because the money is so good. Even with the rookie cap numbers, every guy who reaches the end of his rookie contract is a multi-millionaire. A guy who gets past those 4-5 years is likely to end up with 8 figures in the bank if not nine in very short order

AGAIN, the lesson here is never take a snapshot of a player early in his career and think that is what he is and always be. Sometimes that's true, but its just as likely that the player will be MORE than that. Or in the case of Sanchez, less.

Football is hard in general, but much harder once you get to the NFL. Just think about the competition. EVERY year, in EVERY camp there are 90 guys chasing 53 jobs. So even if you make a team as a rookie. The pressure is immense to improve because there will ALWAYS be someone looking for you job. So, no matter how talented you are, if you don't LOVE the game, and you LOVE that competition, you career will be disappointing. Look at Sanchez.....and maybe Isaah Wynn.

Not telling your veteran QB that he's demoted to the third string: SOFJ!

Not realizing it's Wilson who should be the third stringer: SOFJ!

Observers said during training camp that Flaccid clearly was the team's best QB; the Jete actually might've won with him Sunday. What caused the immortal Mike Caucasian to jump ahead of him on the depth chart? This makes no sense.

I like that 7 of Zach Wilson's 16 career interceptions have been grabbed by the Patriots.

From the article: Wilson has a passer rating of 9.8 on plays where he's forced to abandon the pocket. The Jets would actually be significantly better off if he just threw the ball away every time he started scrambling.

And the jete loooooose again. Punky and the Jest produce 2, yes TWO yards of offense in the second half of todays game
And threw two balls that hit Pats defenders in the hands, a third that was a jump ball his guy had to play D on.

A bit better luck, maybe a bit warmer day, and it's a really bad day for ol' McMilfson.

Da Jete gonna have to find a new QB if they ever want to get better than this.
