A #1 receiver can do wonders for a QB though. Look at Joe Burrow last night without jamaar chase. He looked average.

Look at Tua this year with waddle/Hill vs the rest of his career. He suddenly looks "elite" is it a coincidence it's when he has receivers that are always open?

Heck even look at Brady with Moss vs 2006. He reached otherworldly levels. So this idea that you don't need elite talent doesn't really check out with me.

It stems on this board from the Patriots never getting that sort of receiver. But it kind of neglects that Gronkowski was that guy even though he was a tight end and not a receiver.
Facts! 12 was able to do it with system guys a majority of his career. We all see what happened on 07 with NFL records being made! When we drafted gronk/hernandez our offensive efficiency went to another level teams had to defend the whole field!

What's been striking to me is the TE has seemingly been phased out the offense.. I mean how much better would Mac be, and the offense as a whole if Henry was more involved, I've given up on janu Smith Though. Myers seems like he can get open against anyone.. his game reminds me of Hines ward, he gets open against anyone.

Bourne isn't being given the opportunities. When he is actually on the field and targeted, he performs. Bourne has caught 11 of his 15 targets this year. The problem is you cannot catch the ball if you are not on the field or being phased out of the offense. Another example of the poor coaching by Patricia.
I've said this before the OFFENSIVE SCHEME is different, under McDaniels Bourne was able to make plays underneath and on the perimeter, he got put in the dog house and seemingly never got out. Those are the primary reasons for Macs struggles. Also the NON USE of the 10 touchdown TE in hunter Henry..

Bourne was on the field for 50 snaps sunday and didn't have 1 catch. Can't blame scheme when that happens.

Henry and Smith saw a fair share of targets with Zappe. Almost as if Jones never even looks at the TEs in his progression. Just look at that failed 4th down. Henry running wide open and he overthrows Meyers

I am a Mac supporter but these type of misreads bother me and make me wonder.

Right but there aren't seemingly plays scripted for them as McDaniels did. Seems it's Myers or dump it down underneath to the back, also more shots downfield to Thornton were there but the 5 man Offensive line couldn't hold up against 3 and 4 man pressures. Qb is only as good as his protection

We're the same Mac haters saying this last season? When he came in under an ESTABLISHED, creative coordinator. The line was much better last season, seems people continue to ignore this.. also Mac has the use of his MIA TE last season. Henry was a top 10 TE Las lt season this plays significantly into macs struggles the TE is the biggest miss match on the filed against defenders. Just ask our Defense we could never defend any NFL TE.

Haven’t watched the Colts much. What happened to Taylor? He’s not terrible but he’s not the threat he was last year so far. Injuries or just regression?

SB, from what I've been reading, their O-line has been really bad so far this year. Think of our line play on Sunday against the Jets and that's what their dealing with.

I remember that game last year. Their OL really took it to us…

jonathan jones is somewhat going under the radar. He hasn’t given up a reception in his last 3 games.

45.5% comp pct.
169 yards
1 TD
1 INT
68.2 rating

24.1 yards per game is absurd. Nobody is throwing at him. When the defense is in man they’ve played as well as anyone which is why fans shouldn’t discount their chances vs. the vikings & bengals.

Now when will bryant be benched in favor of marcus jones is the question.

Gimpy ankle on top of Reich trying to fit a square peg into a round hole with Matt Ryan.

Yeah, it's interesting because they had one of the best O-lines in the league last year and I thought it was the strength of their team. Evidently not though, their tackle positions have been bad and their getting bad play from the center position as well.

Going forward, we obviously have to cut down on the turnovers to have any chance in these games:

Rham= Beast People always talk about the "bad draft picks we have made" and there have been some, but we have also made a lot of good picks in recent drafts, and Rham is definitely one of them:
