JE11 on Garoppolo

It only took 1 and half games for Jimmy JAG to lose the locker room:

"I guess Jimmy was practicing and then decided not to play. And Jacoby [Brissett] played with no ligaments in his thumb, which -- you can't do that as a quarterback. You can't grip. And if it's your left [shoulder] -- a lot of guys got mad about it. A lot of guys got mad. I'm not gonna lie -- I got mad about it. You know, I sacrifice my body all day long. I was taking shots for this, numbing up that, ribs, broken ribs, shoulders, you know, Grade 3, hanging on my limbs, just to play."

It did have the feel that Jimmy G got his 1.5 games of excellent performance and didn't want to screw up his tryout for the other 31.

Kinda *****y, if true.

I believe Marty, his assessment of Jimmy and the situation.

He should have played.

You don't beat out Tom Brady or help your team by sitting on the bench- especially a non-throwing shoulder injury.

I don't think he had any intention of beating out Brady. He had his 1.5 game tryout which guaranteed him a big payday elsewhere. Playing with a booboo could have jeopardized that.

Definitely a beeeotch move if true.

I remember it well. My respect for JB grew.

Jimmy bailed like Bill Russell wrongly accused Wilt of doing in game seven of the 1969 NBA championship. He apologized to the Big Dipper after 20 years of estrangement.

i wonder if this is going to hurt Jimmy G’s trade value or ability to sign with a different team…no wonder Brady called him a “mother f…..er”

One thing you can never question Brady about was his toughness and willing to play through pain…

The season starts in two months and Jimmy still has no clue where he will play and the team he was the QB for during a SB appearance and an AFCCG appearance in 2 of the last 3 seasons traded a fortune to get his replacement and want.

Safe to say he has alot of problems beyond this hurting his chances

I mean, there's a reason the 9ers traded a country bushel of draft picks to take Trey Lance, and it wasn't because Trey Lance was a can't miss QB...

That's the thing that baffles me the most about the Jimmy/wussy story.

BB expects players to play through pain. Injuries are a different story
He was a witness seeing Tom and other players playing through pain
Brisket played with torn thumb muscles

Seems to me his agent/Team Jimmy told him to stand down as there was no need to jeopardize his payday.

I am not a fan of Jimmy's, but that was not a small shoulder injury. It was separated. He was crushed. I have no idea why he was named the starter on Thursday, maybe because Brisset was badly hurt too, but I can see why someone wouldn't go out there with a separated shoulder.

JE just said the guy practiced all week. If JE, who has proven to be very sensitive and careful about offending others, goes and straight up says he was mad at this guy, and all but says the guy is a btch, then that is indeed what I'll believe.

I'll give you a winner in a minute but this is it. I'm not pretending to have sources or w/e. You can just read Kyle's body language on the sideline, press conferences, what he says ... He's tired of the durability concerns and I don't blame him.

Brady played through a separated shoulder one year. I’m sure it hurt, but a tougher quarterback plays through that injury.
