It hasn't as long since the Celtics has won a championship than it was between the Braves championships, but for y'all that are use to winning championships every year or at least every other year, it must feel for an eternity. BTW, I can totally relate to that be an Alabama fan!
I really hope the Celtics win because you have Horford, one of my favorite former Hawks players and I can't stand the Heat.
** I have no idea why I said Heat! I meant Warriors and I hate them too!**

Tatum & Brown are no Larry Bird or even Paul Pierce.

Never seen two talented players absolutely wilt under pressure, like Tatum & Brown

Tatum hasn't had one great game all finals long and he has had multiple downright bad ones including the one tonight. My god... One of the worst performances I've ever seen in the finals from a so called superstar. This is what choking looks like. Better show up for game 5.

Watching Tatum & Brown choke away games late in the 4th quarter is like living through the 1986 World Series over and over again

I couldn't agree more about Horford.

I've never been to Alabama or even met an Alabaman. The closest that I came was meeting an man from Arkansas in 69. What beside college football has Alabama won?

In Boston they have the top team and player in NBA history (Russell).
The top team and player in NYFL history (Brady).
A good hockey team but again, the best player in NHL history (Orr).
A good baseball team that was a power in the very beginning and is pretty successful now, as well as the best hitter (Williams) and pitcher (Martinez) in MLB history.

My pick was Warriors in 6, but I don't think it will end up that way - looking like it will go 7. This series has been very close. I would think the Warriors would take care of business and win tonight, but this new era of NBA is bizarre.

Greatest NBA franchise of all time. Also, Mike Jordon did not start winning championships until Bird and the Celts were out of the picture.

Greatest HC and QB of all time.

People do not understand just how great Bobby Orr was. He would kill 2:00 minute penalties by himself. The other team could not corner him or out maneuver Orr.

I tend to believe that the Red Sox are the most popular baseball team in the USA. So many people outside of NE despise the NY Yankees and are huge fans of the Red Sox just because they are New Yorks fiercest rival. I cant tell you how many people I have met that wear Boston Red Sox hats, but have never been there

Celtics have yet to stop GS in the third quarter. Curry is playing like the legend he is and Klay looks like he's getting his rhythm back...Celtics have to win game 5

I was actually talking about Alabama football.

There really have been no pro teams in the state of Alabama, they have the B'ham Stallions now, which are doing pretty good.
Alabama is just not big enough to support pro teams. The population of it's largest city B'ham is just under 1 million while the population of Boston is about 4 million. That makes it pretty clear as to why the Boston area can support pro teams and B'ham can't.

People in Alabama either support the teams from Atlanta or New Orleans, and the whole area supports the Braves.

Everytime I try to watch NBA I'm reminded why I stopped a long time ago. That first half was embarrassing.

And when did they scrap the 2-3-2 format for the finals? Was there a year where it would've hurt the Lakers ?

Tatum….air balls, missed free throws, and turnovers. Down right awful G5 and series overall. Someone on the team needs to slap the Kobe right out of him for good because the very thought of that guy has not helped him one bit.

Tatum might not get a ring, but he will have set a couple NBA records

His -36 set the plus/minus single game playoff record

He will also set the record for most turnovers in a single season playoffs

The style of the game is not my cup of tea. Players are way too high maintenance like LeBron and my Lakers where he expects everyone on the starting 5 to shoot 40% from 3. I remember the days where teams were ecstatic to have just one guy that could be a threat from 3.

It started in 1985 because they wanted to eliminate traveling for teams possibly meeting up on opposite coasts. In fact, it started due to the meetings between the Lakers and Celtics.

The NBA voted unanimously to scrap it in 2014 because it gave the lower seed a major advantage. All they had to do was split on the road and they now had 3 straight home games.

To answer your last question the 2-3-2 format hurt the Lakers against the Celtics in 2010 losing one game at home, then played 3 straight in Boston. However, Boston had to play two straight on the road to try to close out the series up 3-2.

It was a terrible format.

Massive choke job. After losing three ECF before making the finals it appears the Tatum Brown duo needs to learn by losing. A painful lesson by all involved. Lakers North in six. Draymond can go off into the sunset of podcasting and being the dirtiest and most useless player in the league. Klay can take up pottery. Curry can finally eat a mouth guard.

10 missed FTs in a game they lost by 10...I can't even

Warriors really locked down the paint last night, give them credit.

I'm not sure there's a more frustrating thing to watch than Brown & Tatum run into and turn the ball over vs double teams. Twice in a row in the last 5 mins for Brown.

I think it goes 7 but good luck winning there if that even happens. I would have said the same about GSW if we won last night and they had to come here.

Since it's a Bama thread ...
On an unrelated note a few years ago Nick Saban missed out on Alvin Kamara bc the RB room was too stacked. A few years later they lost out on Jahmyr Gibbs for similar reasons as well as getting in late on him. Saban has always been a fan though and wanted him bad. Timing worked out much better now and supposedly Saban has been raving about him every since they got him. He was already good but just got called up to an all-star team so expect to hear the name early next draft.

Couple other guys I really like ...
Devon Achane, Deuce Vaughn, Keaton Mitchell

Intro to Basketball for Dummies 101 would say that the absolute most important thing you need to do when teaching 7th grade AAU is to NOT turn the ball over and to actually make your free throws. And they just can’t figure this out.
