Patriots ROOKIE Mini-Camp (13-15) - Going on Now

Why can't we get someone bigger, like Jameson Williams... meanwhile...

Jameson Williams 6'2" 179 pounds

Tyquan Thornton 6'2" 181 pounds

Oh yeah, and on top of being more expensive Williams won't be healthy until November at least.

Look at Combine S
That's so weird. NFL.com has him 10 #s heavier (189 #) & an inch taller (6'-2"). Ten pounds is a lot.

I look at Combine Stats or Pro Day stats because those are "tested and witnessed".

Yes but using actual combine numbers doesn’t support the Bill is an idiot for drafting really tiny wide receivers, when he could have drafted even smaller ones. So off with you and your actual “facts”

I’ll answer for Cap in HIS vernacular, “None of them, they all sucked, Belichick sucks (despite coaching the Pats to 6 SB victories).”
You forgot to add a “feckin”.

For instance, when he was blasting the Onwenu pick in 2020 (after never having seen him play) he wrote “Where is that feckin fat feck going to play?” Ooopsies.

What? Where did that come from? Holy Moly. Who ever said BB drafted small or smaller WRs? I think you need to take a break from posting and relax. Crazy posts like this is what makes this place unpleasant.

Edit: if sarcasm, I missed it.

LOL I love the Captain as a humorist , but his positivity is of the "dog that didn't bark" type. I remember early in last year's draft he was on a rant against Justin Fields, probably because he thought BB was going to pick him. Then when BB picked Mac -- crickets! I thought at the time, oh the Captain likes this pick!

Pretty sure that was sarcasm.

OR BB and friends picked Harry, and Groh and friends picked Thornton.
not only PICKED Thornton but moved UP to get him, when "common wisdom" thought he'd be there when they picked, thus expending draft capital.

The fact is that Thornton is a high ceiling, low floor pick. It's been made and like all our draft picks we have nothing to do, but wait over the next 3 years to see how they pan out. All the b!tc9ing and moaning that I see on the board is just wasted energy. It is an argument that has no right or wrong answer.....at this point

Save this thread and put it on hold until the 2025 season and I'll come back and THEN rate how this draft has gone. But more likely I'll come back amazed that I'm still here. ;)

It was sarcasm.. And there are certain people on this board who wanted OTHER WRs who weren't 6'2 but weighed more.

The usual anti Bill posters were critisizing Bill for drafting wide receivers who were to skinny, when they could have drafted wide receivers that were much bigger. That is what most of the last 3 pages of the thread is about. Did you miss the pictures of their legs? Did you read the thread?

The example they used was Williams Vs Thorton. Except you posted their actual measurements which showed they were exactly the same size. So I was agreeing with you that it makes much more sense to use actual verified numbers rather than non verified numbers they were using simply because it furthered their agenda of Bill critisism. Further, the pictures of Randy Moss' legs showed that probably the top wide receiver of all times was built much like Thorton, who they were critisizing for being to skinny.

So yes I was using sarcasm to expose the obvious bias of some of the posters on the site and I was actually agreeing with you that it makes much more sense to use actual numbers if you want to critisize a draft pick.

@Zuma - Thanks for linking this. Just wish the Pats put names on the players. I don't recognize all the faces.

You're not seriously comparing Jameson Williams to BoneyT again, are you?
