DRAFT Welcome Jack Jones of ASU..pick #121

I like it when an athlete has a chance to redeem himself. From all I’ve read he’s a natural athlete and a 5* recruit. Kids are stupid and reckless, some more than others. He didn’t murder anyone, rape or beat a woman. Although he did get into it pretty good with a teammate, enough to miss the rest of a season. But to his credit he did enter a anger management program which even if it was for reasons to save his own ass, hopefully he learned sone things about his himself.

His conference call was so Belichickian it made me laugh. Beat writers are gonna hate this guy.

Transcript: Jack Jones Conference Call 4/30

This is probably the beat write up I could find if him which may have already been posted. Nothing better when they describe the player as being quick with fluid seamless hips, good ball skills and can highpoint well. I think he’s gonna be a winner here.

I really, really, really like players that can highpoint the ball and it doesn't matter what side they play on. I think that's one of the things that separates Tyreek Hill.

Not just that but his hips by evaluators get raving reviews as some of the best at the position.

Jaire Alexander, Denzel Ward, Tre'Davious White say hi. All are top 5-7 CBs and all are 5’10-5’11.

JC Jackson was apparently measured at 5' 10" sometime during pre-draft.

I can't wait to see him for the first time. He sounds promising.

“The first thing this writer looks for when looking at a cornerback prospect is how well they can move. Cornerbacks have to be able to play in space with a level of fluidity that allows them to keep up with the best receivers the league has to offer. For the purpose of this article, fluidity won’t just be hip fluidity. Fluidity is hip fluidity, crisp footwork, and the ability to move effortlessly in space. A cornerback who can excel in and out of their transitions is a huge deal when evaluating a cornerback prospect.

Arizona State cornerback Jack Jones has caught my eye as the early winner for the most fluid cornerback prospect in this class. Jack Jones has excellent hip fluidity to be able to swivel his hips while staying in phase with receivers. He has excellent burst after flipping his hips so he doesn’t lose speed when transitioning. Jones has elite click and close abilities due to very good short area quick when driving downhill.

He effortlessly changes directions without taking extra steps or needing to decelerate. His size may for some to knock him down into the nickel category which he could translate well to due to his elite fluidity. Unfortunately, Jack Jones is a prospect that we won’t be able to see this fall due to the PAC-12 looking like it won’t play this year. Jones is a fun sleeper prospect to keep an eye on in this draft cycle.”

Shaun Wade was their pick in that article for run support too!

His fluid movements allow him to be sticky on his target.

Way to early in the morning for this.

Since Todd Marinovich never attended class at USC, flunking out is well nigh impossible for an athlete.

Bravo, Jack Jones! You’re one of a kind.
