Day 3 pre draft thread

Also Agholor would be a tough Trade to swallow with his contract and recent production. I hope Thornton Lights it up in TC. Them CB's are going to have to backup!

I hope they keep all 4 4th round picks and if need be get an extra 4th by trading up. There seems to be a lot of value in the remaining guyz .

Calvin Austin, enagbare , bo Melton, Matt araiza are my binkies for day 3.
Calvin Austin III coupled with Tyquan Thornton makes us a very fast Team on Offense I hope they are tempted. :)

Day 2 was productive. They added a deep threat WR, arguably the best tier 3 CB fit & Groh referenced McGrone by name in response to the lack of any LB taken.

I’d target an outside CB prospect, a developmental OT & interior DL competition. Also keep an eye out for Kyren Williams as a do it all RB who should be available late due to a poor combine.

What about Isaiah spiller? Heard he is also really good?

But if Tyquan is a stud, I dont need to see Agahlor out there. Give Tyquan the snaps.

If Agahlor was all that then we did not need Tyquan.
The point of the tweet was that even if Agahlor is good, Thornton replaced him next year.

Some run stopping ability and pass rush on the DLine is a must whether with our remaining picks or in free agency. Otherwise I'd look at addressing the OLine and FS.

On the 17 WR's taken it's now a premium position you can't keep the cupboard bare anymore. It's now prudent to draft one every other year or you'll pay in FA.

I wonder if the Pats will draft an outside corner after going slot corner with the last pick. Woolen or McCollum would be great developmental prospects.

I would like to see at least one more offensive lineman preferably (Faalele, Walker or Salyer).

There are still some quality lb (Brandon Smith) and d lineman left.

On top of the players I mentioned I’m hoping today is finally the day Harry is traded.

I realized that much.

To see if Agahlor has improved that means Tyquan may not be on the field. How do you throw TDs to Tyquan tearing up defenses and tell if Agahlor is good this year?

I say cut the losses now. Surely no team is desperate enough to trade for Jagahlor.

I like Armour-Davis and Castro-Fields for a boundary corner, Kyle Phillips, Chris Allen, and Cordell Volson at tackle. Although I also want Faalele for entertainment value. Don't the Patriots always do well with 400-pound guys?

Fair enough, but you'd be happy with a QB in the 4th?
Stidham is not the answer is he?

4th, 5th, 6th, Cassel was a 7th and won 11 games. Fetched a 2nd in a trade.

To be fair that trade required the considerable input of Bernard "Patriot Killer" Pollard to happen.

So far, the Pats got themselves 3 major contributors:

Strange - starting LG

Thornton - starting number 3 receiver (i think he'll beat meyers)

Jones - starting punt/kick returner, nickel CB, and maybe a slot receiver

Would love to see them get some speed on defense, which is what I think they'll focus on today.

I felt LB wouldn't be taken in the 1st 3 rounds due to several young, fast LB's already on the roster. But today might be the day they draft one.
