He is a guy who may have not been available by round 3. I still don’t get the trade up though. Who was going to take him?
 
Are we all going to claim someone was about to pounce on Thornton too to justify a massive reach?
something made them go from 54 to 50 for him. You think they just wanted to fck with draftnik's heads?
With WRs not so much.
There is that. It's a new day.
 
I don’t know enough about him to love or dislike the pick, but just from the highlight video he seemed to have a bit of an AJ Green vibe to him. Not sure how accurate that is, but just initial impression.
 
Seems consistent with their drafting of high upside types in the second.

They explicitly traded up for him. Clearly they thought so. Whether it‘s true or not, we won’t know.
 
Wow. He was way down on most draft boards. Surprising to see him picked ahead of Pickens, Moore, and a few others. Can't teach speed though.
Can you share those draft boards?
