Predictions

Why haven't they preemptively cut harry? Every day he's on the team is both demoralizing to the players and kind of frightening really. I thought he should have been cut after the december bills game when he turned an easy catch into a baffling miss, sidestepping the throw and trying to basket catch it. Wish someone could find a gif of it.

My prediction would be 6 to 8 wins. Talent wise, i just think the cupboard is a little bare. Could see max of 2 wins in afc east. 2-4 and then 5-6 outside. Not bad.

Feels like 2002...

Last year I said between 9 and 12 wins (they lost at least 2 games they should have won, d%#*!@t), but I think they're down a game from that, so I'll say they go somewhere from 8-9 to 11-6.

Pats miss the playoffs this year.

Mac takes a big step forward.

New defensive style unveiled.

BB has a 40% chance to get back to the SB, at best, before he hangs it up. That's better than most coaches, by the way.

BB breaks Shula's record before he retires, health permitting.

Brady gets back to the SB this year, but loses.

Pats are big players in next off-season.

Pats are a serious contender in 2023.
Because Tuna Crap kept Bill under his thumb for so many years I don't think Bill has enough time left to catch Shula. Too bad because Bill's a better HC and didn't cheat to get his wins. Shula did.

Future FA and draft predictions:

-Trey Flowers coming back to replace Wise Jr. a possibility. However, Josh is going to do his best to steal him away.
-I'd also like to see Akiem Hicks back to replace Wise Jr..
-Bill goes front 7 with his first pick and takes a WR no later than the 2nd round. CB and OL will be the day 2 priorities as well.
It's too early for FA and draft predictions. :)

I'm usually patient with players and wait a little to see if they develop. Harry clearly has not.

I just think Stevenson is the guy. Harris is redundant imo. If they find a taker for him great. I wouldn't count him out as a surprise cut if they can't.

There's no way the Pats are building the offense around a single RB, and especially not giving away a guy who is better than half of the starting RB's in the League, and far cheaper.

I think the bolded part of your statement is pretty ridiculous hyperbole to be honest. No one on the Patriots is "demoralized" by having Harry on the team in March. No one will be demoralized by having him on a 90 man roster. 90 players x 32 teams equals 2880 players. If you don't think he's one of the top 2880 players in the league, I think you haven't seen some of the dregs that get invited to camps.

I don't have any hopes for Harry. I'd rather his spot on the 53 go to someone else in the end. But there's no advantage to just dumping him right now. That's just an emotional reaction with zero logistical value.

I’m thinking 9-8 with a bright future heading into 2023 with a ton of cap space. I’m glad to play the waiting game as long as there is a lot of progress in certain areas of the team. I’d be enthusiastic beyond belief if they do end up getting 10 wins and a playoff spot but I’m skeptical due to the amount of competition in the afc. 20 years of glory will get me bye for now. Really is the first true rebuild they’ve had in some time. Other teams have done this many times over this time period. Its just our turn.

The competition works both ways. Nobody will win 12 games in the AFC this year, and most teams will finish between 8 and 10 wins. 10-7 is achievable, we're not gonna regress. The season will turn on these 6 games: vs Mia, vs Bal, vs Indy, @ Ari, @ Cle, @ Pit

We have some time here in the off-season and I thought that we could have a place to put our predictions. Please feel free to add your own or comment on mine.

1 - The Pats will go 3-3 in the AFCE and 6-11 overall. I sure hope I'm wrong.
2 - Neither Bill nor Tom will get another SB ring. Both will run out of time. If anyone makes it though it would probably be Tom. The NFC is a much easier road.
3 - Matt Patricia will take over as HC when Bill retires.
1 Agree - 2 wins vs the Jets and 1 vs the Dolphins. Tua still svcks. I see a possible 9 wins, but no playoffs. Which I am fine with because the Pats are in no position to take on the AFCs best.

2 Bill might win another ring, but Brady wont. The AFC is too young and loaded. Bradys last game will be a Super Bowl defeat. He should have just quit on top after his 7th. Lots of folks have grown sick of him and his drama. His movie all about himself will be at Red Box for $1.00 after 1 weekend.

3 Stevie Belichick is ascending up the NFL ranks at light speed. DC already. The HC offers havent come rolling in yet, but when they do would the Krafts allow him to get away? Like Tom? The Sox and Babe Ruth? No Sir, Jonathan will have more leverage in the matter and he and Stevie are kindred spirits so to speak.

What hurts Harry most of all is where he was drafted. It's one thing for a later round pick to struggle but another altogether for a 1st rounder. He blows and won't be missed if he's cut.

1 - We agree on something. I should write this date down in my calendar. :)
2 - If the AFC is so young and loaded then how does that help Bill win another ring?
3 - The good old boy network is still alive and well in the NYFL.

Another prediction: AB will play for someone in 2022. My guess is the Chiefs.

1. Pats again finish top 10 in offense and in defense, with a top 3 run offense.
2. Patriots don't draft a WR before round 5 this year, upsetting most fans
3. Mac takes a step forward, getting a better grasp on the playbook to the point that the team is able to play with tempo more often
4. Jonnu Smith has a bounce back season with 800 all purpose yards
5. Ronnie Perkins becomes a mainstay on the defense for years to come
6. The Patriots will add 3-5 more veteran contributors to this team before the season starts.
I would place a bet on #2. He's not going to the well again after adding 4 pass catchers last year. A large portion of fans here will lose their mind.

2 Because the Pats could catch lightning in a bottle with all 3 phases of the game playing key roles. Like the 2001 team where it all come together. Mac could have a great year combined with a solid run game. The NE defense will stop the run and be stingy in pass game. Special teams puts points up other than FGs and creates turnovers.

3 Stevie hasnt a prayer.

Agreed.

Yup, those fans would be disappointed with a top three including a CB, and EDGE player, a DT, and an OL in the 4th.
